I know several (female) members here who will be in for the Gackt factor, but other than that, I don't know much. The graphics look really cool, though.

I know I'm personally not into shooters but hey!:
- Vincent's the lead role
- AMAZING graphics!
- it's part of the ff7 compilation...
So of COURSE I'm looking forward to it^^ I believe it comes out late this year too (Oct/Novish)

He's a jrocker, and there's a character in Dirge of Cerberus that's designed after him (he's not Vincent's voice). :3 I think a few of the other jrock thread members might have pictures of his character.

What I want to know is, are any of the rumours that stake Cait Sith as a 'playable' character true or not?

I plan on getting the game. I loved Vincent in FF7, so I hope it goes more into his character.

Consider this one... pre-ordered.
Come this August (I think. I'll have to check the computer at work.), Vincent shall be mine.

Well, it is confirmed that there will be multiplayer and it is confirmed that Cait Sith will make an apperance. Whether the two meet is the unanswerable question.
BTW: How or what is W.R.O?

Well, it doesn't take place in the past seeing how the whole FF7 crew fights along side of him and it takes place, I think 3 years after AC.

I beleave some of it takes place in the past then by the end its is with the crew of FF7. But who nows till it comes out

Well, the plot is already explained. It takes place a few years after AC and Vincent must battle a group that I think are called the "Deep Underground Soldiers" or something.

Yes, it is after advent children. What I meant was I believe it explains more about Vincents past.
And the "Deep underground soldiers" were supposedly made BEFORE FF VII but somehow got burried under the ground. (Hence the name lol)

at first when i heard about this game i was like cool vincents getting his own game, then meh its a 3rd person shooter, then checked it out a bit more and it looked quite sweet. And after watching teh game trailers off my Advent Children disc i'm definately buying this game. it looks like you can do some funky stuff using vincents transformation Limit Breaks.

The more I think of it, the more I bleieve this is a ripoff of Devil May Cry.
Dirge means "Cry."
Cerebus means "devil."
However, Cerebus is refering to Vincent's gun.
But the whole transformation into a Demon like Vincent's limit break in the game.......copy.

Well, I ran a check on the pics of that game on gamespot and found pic showing Vincent near some coffins with the symbol of a cross on them.
I got very little info on this, but do this mean that there is christianity displayed on this game, if so then how will this be portrayed considering the kind of person Vincent is?
PostPosted: Thu Jun 22, 2006 3:23 pm
by Bobtheduck
No, crosses on graves is a common thing that is associated with vampires and rarely means the person is a Christian... If it is a star of david, however, instead of a cross, it's because the person is Jewish... People of all religions excep atheistic, liberal, or orthodox judaism put crosses on their gravestones and coffins... It's just a symbol of death and has been stripped of the spiritual significance...

I donno, with both the title and the character of Vincent I just don't know if there is something about this game.

Cerebus means "devil."
Cerebus is the enormous, three-headed dog that guarded the gate to Hades. He was not, however, the devil.

That is what it means, and Greek Mythology believes Cerebus is the three-headed guard dog of the Underworld. It actually means "demon".
