Am I the only one that is looking forward to this game? It just seems like a great idea for a game and to my knowledge, has never been done into a game like this.

A game called Disaster on Wii, or a game called Disaster that will be played on the Wii? Anyways, having not heard of this game, I can only ask what it's about, and then laugh at Nintendo for ruining themselves by calling their new system the Wii.
But yeah. What's it about?

Yeah, I've been really interested in this game. Kinda disappointed that is wasn't at E3.
I'm not sure about the spcifics, but I hear it's an FPS (or 3PS) that takes place in an ending world. Using the controller, You're supposed to dodge falling buildings and such. ^_^ sounds really fun to me!
EDIT: here's some info on it.

Ruining themselves by calling it Wii?
I wouldn't say they're ruined. Seeing as how Wii was most popular at E3 by a long shot, and even Microsoft likes it...

But it wasn't because of their name, it was because of their pricing plan and implementation of ideas. If Microsoft said "We hated Nintendo until they told us their name, then we liked them" your statement might have some merit, but it seems to me Microsoft likes them just because they're a cheap system.

No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying, the people at E3 and Microsoft like Wii REGARDLESS of the name; therefore, Nintendo isn't ruined by the name.

As for me, I love the name Wii. It suits the system's purpose. "We" includes everybody. It just sounds intelligent and it's name will attact non-gamers as well.
Anyways, this is a game that I seriously want to get. Driving a vehicle away from an incoming flood sounds fun.

Yeah, me too. It's sounds really new age and high-tech, to me, for some odd reason...
and yeah, That would be sooooo awesome! Especially using the controller to steer! ^_^

Actually I saw the thread title "Disaster on Wii" and thought it was going to be a rant on how bad the system was going to be

Funny, I almost thought the same thing. Then I remebered that "Disaster" was the title of the "serious" game that Nintendo is making to reach the "older" audience.
As far aas the name was concerned, I think the truth behind that strategy (I can't imagine ANYONE thinking it was a good name) was free publicity. When people hear "I played the Wii" they can't help but to ask, "what's a We?" Then they hear of all the upsides of the system and thier interest is piqued.
That or Nintendo has gone insane. One of the two.

Well, it's definitely not the latter. Nintendo's not insane. They just play risk. And for a good thing.

WOW! at first I thought there was some sort of catastrophe that happened with Wii. Like they wised up and changed their name back to "revolution" or something. Ehh... haven't heard of the game.

Even though I've read this thread a few times, Everytime I see this title, I think "Nintendo did some other stupid thing?"
Then I remember "Oh, yeah! It's the name of a game..."

Funny how those two go often together.
