For some reason (in this I have been left out of the loop), my father decided that we trade in our Game Cube, the games, everything.
Now we have about $140 in credit at EB Games.
The plan is to get a new system.
I was hoping to get some opinions, tap your brains, so to speak.

The guideline:
There must be a good variety of safe, clean multiplayer games available for this system.

That's about it for guidelines. Any opinions on this?

The system with the most clean multiplayer games is the one your dad just traded away... the gamecube... If your dad thought the gamecube had bad games. Well... the other systems have worse.

Ehhh.... not the best idea eh? You guys could buy back a gamecube and a game.... Seeing as the ps2 is 129 dollars and the xbox is around the same price as well. (I think 140). The gamecube sells for 100 dollars.

Should of just kept the gamecube

My three recommendations:

1.) Wait til' Nintendo's next system comes out in November (Revolution aka Wii), it'll probably run around $200 with a Super Smash Bros guaranteed as a launch game. Not to mention, I'm sure a bunch of other good clean multiplayer games. -Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, etc.

2.) Forget the console and grab a Nintendo DS handheld or two. It's got a ton of really fun multiplayer games: Mario Kart, Tetris, Metriod Prime: Hunters, Advance Wars, Meteos, Animal Crossing, etc.

3.) X-box or X-box 360, if you want to go online. A fair warning though, the people on X-box Live are jerks, so don't bother with getting a headset.

You could also check out a PS2, it's got a ton of awesome games, however, it's not that great for multiplayer.

Yeah I agree with you on these two.I own a DS and I think it rocks.

Also,I also think you should have kept the Gamecube for the best multiplayer games. But then again,we all have different tastes. ]You could also check out a PS2,it's got a a ton of awesome games, however,it's not that great for multiplayer.[/QUOTE]

Yeah,because the PS2 has only 2 controller slots.>_<

I recommend PS2 far over GameCube and Xbox. Most games to choose from.

Least good multiplayer games as well.

I second what Link suggested.

Get the Gamecube back if you really want a good clean multiplayer system. Although Link Antillies has a good point in waiting for the Revolution/Wii/Go/whatever-new-codename.

N-gage. Get an N-gage.

I like Link's idea, personally. I'm excited about the Wii (as in the sound I'm going to making while playing it:WHEEEEEEE!), and everyone else should be. So there. ;p
