Ffviii...

They have suddenly started showing trailers for FFVIII on TV in certain places. Are they planning a movie? Or a remake? If it's the latter, FFVII better come first. I just found it rather strange that it would suddenly start after all these years. I know, I know...I'm a conspiracy-theorist.

I don't know if I would want an FFVIII movie. Don't get me wrong, FFVIII is my favorite Final Fantasy, but I thought the ending was great and I don't know if I want them messing with a really good thing. They took the time in the game to wrap things up really well, so I can't imagine them adding anything of value without messing up the feel of the game.

I had to read this 4 or 5 times before I understood the statement. Are you saying that they are showing commercials for FFVIII? That's news to me and it doesn't really make any sense.

...yeah. What I meant was FFVIII possibly becoming a movie. I already have Advent Children; I bought it the first day it was out.

But there was too much closure in FFVIII's ending. It's not like FFVII where you just sit there gaping at the screen in the end. Maybe Rinoa goes into another coma.
Sorry, all you Rinoa fans, but I had to say it!

Heh, I wrote this off as another ff7 topic when I saw the name. I just saw a v and some i's and I was like 'Forget that.' I just now noticed the extra i!
This is excellent since 8 was the better game (IMO) and deserves the movie. I just hope they do a better job than they did with AC.

Although Rinoa was practically the best character in the game, I can't say I'd mind if she went comatose again... >.>

No, of course not.
They could continue FFVIII`s story. They could write out Squall, Zell, and Irvinne as heroes and make Selphie, Quistis, and Rinoa bounty hunters.
*dodges tomatoes*

FF8 and FF6 were the two FF games that were wrapped up so well, they didn't need sequals... Of course, FFX didn't need one either... I mean, the end it had was good, and the sequal sorta ruined continuity... (as Morgan and Adam would say "We're nerds") What I'd like to see, though, is an anime treatment of FF6... To have the game played out in anime form. Not a movie, but a full 26 episode TV show.
FF8... really, the only thing I'd like to see for this is voices... Everything else was fine.

Yeah, so people's comments may be CAA inappropriate... Anyhow

It would`ve been better if it was in English.
EDIT: The fact they did everything with perfect timing was cool and nerdy at the same time.
