Ultima VI Remake

I don't know how many of you guys used to play those old Ultima games, but you might be interested that there's a group that's revamping Ultima VI with modern graphics and an enhanced storyline. Here's the website:

They also have a demo, displaying their progress. I haven't played it yet, but it'll be interesting to see how they're coming with it.

*sigh*

Another GREAT game that was great for everything except it's graphics. (You could only do so much at the time). So now someone want to make a few more bucks doing it in "Better Graphics!" mode.

The sad thing is, I'll probably buy it. ;)

As far as I can tell, the remakes on that site are for free. I'm looking to download Ultima V right now. :thumb:

EDIT: You just need a program called "Dungeon Siege" and the original game.

It's a mod for Dungeon Siege not a standalone original game. I used to own the game itself and it was alright. Dungeon Siege is about 5 years old so you could probably find it super cheap.

I think they hit their peak with Ultima IV, then it seemed it was extra complexity without extra play value

I`ve heard of this title before. Is it text-based?

Oh, wait, that`s right. It was a spell in FF games. :(

Of course, there was also the two-release Ultima Underworld "serieis" which was actually not that bad.
