As long as this isn't broken Tetris (that THQ crap, Tetris World), I'm happy. Fortunately, Nintendo is involved, so it should be Tetris done right.

Tetris is amazing because of its addictive powers. I don't know about the broken part. And just in case anyone tries comparing this to Tetris Attack like they did in the article, Tetris Attack was just the name they used to market the game in the US. Unlike this game, it was never meant to be like Tetris. This game, on the other hand, makes me wonder if maybe I ought to get a DS....

By making it so that once a piece reaches the bottom, you can continue to spin it forever, which keeps it from setting and in turn, keeps the next piece from dropping. While doing this you can also move the piece from side to side, giving you enough to time to choose the perfect place for the piece. In the wonderfully broken Tetris World (PS2, Xbox, GBA, etc), this "feature" is *not* optional. So, the point and appeal of Tetris being a game where to think and react as fast as possible is GONE. Hence broken Tetris.

Wow... Yeah, I'm pretty much only for classic tetris, or rather NES and Gameboy classic tetris... I'm not fun of the still tetris offshoots... Stuff like Dr. Mario is OK because it's different enough... Nothing beats classic tetris, though... I mean, NES era classic, not before that...

I`d rather keep my GBA since I can play Tetris and Double Dragon on it.

Tetris is a truly great, classic game, but Meteos seems more interesting to me.

Yay, Tetris 37,000,402! Can't wait! Ah, Tetris. The greatest, most addictive game I ever hated.
