To put it in the words of one of the editors at rpgamer...
Chrono Trigger is the best RPG of all time. Period. If you think otherwise, you're wrong.

Of all time? Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar. After that they got too complicated for me.

The Neverwinter Nights series is the best RPG series I have ever played so far.

I'm still sticking with Knights of the Old Republic. Others would be Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Final Fantasy IX. I think that all three of these games each contain an awesome cast of great characters.

Hey don`t complain guys. He took his time to list ALL OF THOSE RPGs. Dude, you seriously must have a ton of free time.
I went with FF7. That game got me into RPGs, but I do find it quite overrated.

Now Kaem, remember this is a poll about peoples' favorite RPGs, not what they think is the best.
Plus I think otherwise and I know I'm not wrong

^ Ditto. I think Kae was joking.
I personally thought Chrono Trigger lacked plot and character developement....but for a 10 year old game i don`t thnk so. In general, I do.

I voted Final Fantasy 9 because KOTOR was not on the list. But FF9 is not far behind it, anyway.

I have to go with FFVII, although I admit I haven't played most of the listed games. Chrono Trigger almost had my vote.
Fave, huh? Easy choice there!

Totally FF VII for me. But I must admit, there are very many that deserve recognition.
I give props out now to my other faves, that, if I didn't play FF VII at least once every other year, I would have considered for that title. Lunar 1 & 2 are both awesome, and I absolutely LOVE the anime they put into them. FF VIII is also very nice, as well as IX.
Oh, and FF X, if not for the ambiguity the other voice actors always had to show regarding the main char's name, would have possibly taken my vote.
Another of particular quality, though it's quite dated, was Shining Force II for Sega Genesis. Old school, but it's still a real treat to play through that. If you get a chance, I HIGHLY recommend it
