They bumped Orion back to 2007, unfortunately, but now they've got this new game slated for '06. The site is under construction...each time I check in they've got something new. It looks interesting, and I appreciate the idea of going against the gritty, dark look (which has become vogue in Christian games, thanks to the folks at N'Lightening) and trying a bright, cartoony feel.
Personally, I like the looks of this game and I admire the Rebel Planet team greatly...they're working on some great stuff.

I remember we had a huge discussion on this some months ago on Christian games in general. It might not be a contender aesthetically as far with the likes of other current platformers like Rachet and Clank, Mario, and next-gen like Kameo. But it's at least easy on the eyes, which is more than I could say for muddy/blocky looking Orion which looked like it came straight out of 1997.
This is just first impressions on Axys of course since that's all we have to go on for now are the screenshots.

The graphics remind me of Legend of Legaia for some reason. Perhaps it's just me. Besides that, it looks like just another bad attempt at Christian gaming, unfortunately. What with the mazes and biblical word puzzles. I'm not sure if they will be a prominent theme, however, so I will wait for a demo before I make a decision on what to think of this.
But at any rate, at least it isn't another FPS.

hm...>_>; I kinda agree with Orenji. Though the graphics do look fairly nice.
*cough* there are a few grammatical oopsies on the page too. Maybe not technically, but definitely stylistically...

Interesting. My opinion about it will be based entirely upon gameplay (and possibly story) because this art style is completely neutral for me.

The art style does indicate, at least, the underlying thought process behind the game. It seems to me that recent Christian games have been trying to take themselves so seriously that they come off rather overblown and pompous. Therefore I like this idea, but maybe I'm just biased, because I've been wanting to see this sort of game for a long time.
At any rate, it's probably going to come out and simply fall through the floor into obscurity, just like all the other non-N'Lightening games have done.

I do not want any part of the game to cause the player to feel afraid by use of a dark, gloomy or depressing atmosphere.
But I like dark and gloomy sometimes. >_>

Ditto.
