Pokemon TCG...

well, in the past I spent hundreds of dollars on buying those packs of Pokemon TCG cards. I had a huge number of them, filling a 3" binder pretty well. That went on for several years back around the time I was in... what... 6th to 8th grade. It was awesome, and a fun game

After I started high school, my investing in the cards had pretty much dried up. I sorted the holograms out and put them in a safe box for keeping for the future, seperate from my binder. After a while, I found out that my sister took the binder. She didn't ask me but I wasn't gonna fight with her over that. It happened a few years ago so all was kewl in my head.

Well today I found something out. My sister must think she's pretty smart, finding and emptying out the safe-box and storing the cards I wanted to keep in her drawers. I took back as many as I could so far (she's not home), and I'm thinking of reclaiming my binder too (this may be hard since she put some cards she bought in there, but her cards don't make up even 1/25 of the binder). Besides, the Binder still has my name on it and I never told her she could have it.

Anyways... my question is... y'all think that there's gonna be a high demand on Pokemon Cards down the road? like today there are expensive baseballcards, you think that some day there will be the same thing with these cards I have here? Would I be wise in keeping them safe?

Personally, no. I keep mine for old time's sake, maybe even pull them out for the grandkids X3! But I just can't see that happening, unless it already has...

lol, I actually can't immagine it happening nowadays. It's too late after the craze for them to be of high value and too early for them to be considered rare.

And yeah, I don't know if I'd sell mine. Pull them out for my grandkids? yeah, I think about that. "Come here, kids! lemme tell you about Pokemon!"

I only purhcased very few in my lifetime, but I wouldn't really sell off a huge collection like that. You never know....

The TCG Gameboy game was one of my favorites; even though I never played the actual cardgame, I found it to be quite enjoyable.

I have a huge collection of Pokemon cards. I guess I missed my chance to sell them, too. I'll keep 'em for the time being. They're a little sentimental anyway. I went pretty regularly to weekly tournaments for like 3 years. I made new friends through this, and it gave me something to look forward to every week. I can't believe how much money my parents spent on this stuff for me. Wow... Yeah, I'll hold on to 'em.

Did anyone get the Pokemon TCG game for GBC? I spent a lot of time with that game, too. Man, I miss those days... *has a strange desire to play Pokemon*

I'm looking for an emulator that supports Gameboy netplay...
combine that with PKMNTCG...

Any TCG based on a new trend (Pokemon and DragonBallZ are sooo 2001), tend to be mediocre. Magic The Gathering is the only true TCG.

I'm very grateful to my parents that they never let me spend money on passing trends.

Be patient about it. I'm sure the owner's of Black Lotus and the Moxes (MTG cards) never expected them to be worth in excess of $200 each with Black Lotus claiming over $500!

well I never said a bad word about MTG. MTG has been around for a while and is here to stay.
