If you missed that, I said

http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/adventure/metalgearsolid4/preview_6133382.html

Yeah, that's right... No download yet (other than the PS2 one from E3)

I am suddenly very excited about this game... I know it will probably not be a launch title, but that's ok... I can wait...

Snake is getting old and sick... Otacon is getting wrinkly... Metal Gear is being used for war, which was always the threat in the previous games, and... Well, based on the poster, it involves Naomi, Raiden, Vamp, and more... Man... I wonder if the medicine is for Fox die... It may be something to neutralize it...

They said it ran smoothely on the PS3, and that can't even be said for most of the X-Box 360 PC ports...

Though it is off topic, I must mention this for all the sony fans that would leave due to the controller (besides the fact that you can just use the Dual Shock 2)

While the months since E3 have led to much discussion about the controller's design, Sony apparently isn't ready to set the boomerang design down in stone as the final controller for its upcoming console. Right next to the display controller at TGS 2005 is a small sign that reads, "conceptual design."

Also off topic, there are a lot of games in development for PS3... Since the SDK came out, I believe, just 2 months before E3, this is quite impressive... Look at what's been done in such a small amount of time!

Guys how many threads do we need on one topic...? And more nonsensical 360 bashing where do you even get your info, message board users?

Um... I got my "nonsensical 360 bashing" from watching trailers on DVD with jerky framerate, and I haven't seen any threads on this topic, so take your medicine and calm down, dude...

EDIT: There have been threads talking about rumors, and one about the poster and the E3 trailer... This is talking about actual game stuff, and the old threads are obsolete. It's TGS this weekend (well, did it end today?) so you have to expect that... :shake:

RE-EDIT: Ok... That thread was rather far down the list, did not have MGS in the title, and I had no way of knowing at a glance what it was... As I said... That's the last I'm gonna say about it... I hope the threads are merged, but I at least hope they're renamed...

Far down the list, it`s directly below this one. It was made yesterday.

When`s MSG4 coming out again?

It was far down the list until I responded in it, Tom. That's the way forums work. When I made this thread it was like 10-12 threads down and didn't have a title that hinted at what the thread was about. The gamers galore forums moves quickly, it's easy for a thread to get lost.

As for MGS4, there has been no date set.

Yeah, it really is beautiful... I can't wait to play this, but I'll probably have to wait to play it on one of my friend's consoles. *cough* Link! *cough cough...*

I agree with you Kaji, find cover quickly!

Hmm... If I get a roomate, provided he's a gamer and not a 360 or revolution fan, I'd like to go in with someone to get the system together... Of coruse, I probably won't have money to spare on things like that, though... Not unless I get a really good job really soon. Otherwise I'll have to wait like I have with all the systems I've gotten except for Virtual Boy...

Man, this is so pretty... And he's hopefully finally going to die! Yay! As long as Ocelot dies too... Ocelot is a sick man...

Ocelot was old enough in MGS2. He'll have to have a Metal Gear Wheelchair to get around...

This game alone is worth buying a PS3 for. I plan on getting this game at its launch. I too feel his injections are for Foxdie.

Volt wrote:A wheelchair with Machine Gun Revolvers attached to the side, and it can teleport and have stealth and... and... it has turbo. And it transforms into a Metal Gear.

And Ocelot was really a robot that was connected to it, his real self is dead and stored in an underground bunker located beneath the very first lab in Metal Gear Solid. You won't know that till the end.

Don't put anything past Hideo Kojima...he's a mad, mad scientist...

I like the way Kojima screws with everyone's mind until it came to the dates... The dates are all set in stone by MGS3, and the dates of Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land are set in stone, but the other two "Solid" games just mess everything up by numerous contradictory statements, some of them so blatant that they couldn't have been accidental... That (and maybe VAMP) is the only thing that really bugs me...

The existance of supernatural forces and Snake's (or big boss') complete denial of them are just part of the style of the games...

IS Metal Gear any good? Ya know, the orignal.

Has anyone here seen the Decline of Videogaming on Flasplayer?

Metal Gear Solid VI: Sons of daughter`s of sister`s of aunt`s of dog`s of owner`s of friend`s of uncle`s of cousins of liberty

Snake rides around in a feild chair and collects old people items and I can just picture when he dies...

"Snaaaaaaaake...cough weeez....Snaaaaaaakeee...*heart atack* *dies*

BTW, bob, I know how forums work thanks.

Metal Gear is decent. Metal Gear 2 is where the series became really good. All the elements that made Solid so good are in MG2...

*sigh* Anyhow, I thought The Decline of Video Gaming was stupid, and I disagree with the sentiment behind it. I love old video games and new video games, I think things have changed, and video games are DIFFERENT now than they were, not better or worse.

So, when are people gonna talk about the awesome news that just came out about Guns of the Patriots? Solid Ronin sent me this in a PM earlier. Straight from Kojimas website I guess.

his is the transcript from the first Ninety second of the new Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer

(Translated)

Snake: War has changed.

Snake: Our time has ended

Snake: Our war is over.

Campbell: Since the manhattan incident, restrictions on military intervention in foregin countries have eased, fueling demand for mercenaries.

Campbell: Today, the world's wars depend largely on PMC's, pivate military companies whoes buiness inculdes supplying these mercenaries.

Campbell: PMC's have become a serious threat to the world.

Snake: The U.S. has exported too much of its military power. Now she's paying the price.

Campbell: In total, they've got enough manpower to rival the U.S. military.

Campbell: Based on our investigation, the five largest PMC's are run by a dummy corporation, which acts as a single mother company.

Snake: And the mother company...?

Campbell: Outer Heaven.

Snake: The one world in which soldier will always have a place....

Sounds awesome! Yay for geopolitical conflict! And yay for the return of the Colonel!

Yeah.... Hideo doesn't need to do much to get Metal Gear Solid fans like us excited. But that coming trailer is probably going to steal the show. XD

I *love* the E3 season.

MG4 is the highlight of E3. All other games bow down.

I'm so excited for some new trailers and hopefully *fingers crossed* some playable gameplay videos as well.

The story looks to be awesome if not the usual expected blown out of proportion political bull. My uncle works for Blackwater USA a PMC. But hey I don't mind and I expect it.

i can't wait either. My only worry is that snake won't be around to much longer (i mean look at how old he looks)

Kojima has already said he wont die in this game. And rumor is, he may look younger then what was showed in the video they did before. (I hope a little younger) But the fact is, we grow old, we die. I just hope if he does die or get very old...he goes out with style. Smoking and being scruffy.

Didn't he also say that this would be Snake's last game?

Yes he did. He just said he wouldn't die. He'll probably go off into the sunset never to return again. No I hope it's nothing like that. And I agree if Snake dies he has to go out smoking and wasting some chumps with two machineguns in hand or something equally boss.

Knowing Snake, he'll throw himself into the radome of a Metal Gear as a last act...or strap himself to a nuke. Boss indeed, Yojimbo, boss indeed.

E3's in two days, guys! I'm as happy as the wigs, and I'll probably be glued to my screen, streaming everything possible on this game.

<---stoked for E3, if you couldn't tell.

A fitting death for Snake would be like, him buying a way for Otacon and Meryl to get away. Look over his shoulder and kinda smirk...then start shooting at a Metal Gear. Kinda like his fight with Fortune in Sons of Liberty.

A more awesome death would be if he cut the moon in half and used each half to crush his enemies. Heck yes.

Heh. I am not sold on Snake not dieing in MG4. Kojima also said Big Boss was not in Snake Eater.
