DragonBall Z Vide Games

I only own one DB game: Ultimate Battle 22 but I borrowed and mastered DBZ Budokai 1 and 2. I bought everything and made all my characters ultra-jacked. I didn`t bother with the 3rd since it`s gonna start with the Sayain Saga and end at Buu just like #2 so I saw no point. I didn`t like the GameBoard as much as the plain gameplay in the orginal but I still like the Gameboard.
I don`t understand the hype of Ultimate battle 22. It`s a good game but the Budokai`s have everything that made Ultimate Battle 22 good and more.
DCGT: Transformation, I heard was DragonBall GT meets Double Dragon and is an overall good game aside from the lame commercial.
The Legacy of Goku`s were pretty good.

All the Dragonball Z games are very subpar. Budokai was the only one that was even mediocre. It's just because it's Dragonball Z and the fans don't care anyway.

Dude, what are you talking about. Budokai pwns Tekken. Well maybe now "pwns" but IMO a little better.
You`re probably wondering what Vides are. It was a mistake. Even problamatic children whom always make mistakes make mistakes too you know.

The original Tekken has a deeper fighting system than Budokai. And the graphics were great at the time compared to mediocre against the competition with Budokai. There is no reason to get Budokai unless you're a DBZ fan there are plenty of great fighting games on PS2. Virtua Fighter 4, Soul Calibur 2 and soon to be 3, Tekken 4, Street Fighter, Dead or Alive Xtreme blow Budokai out of the water.
It's not even a debate man. But diehard fans won't be persuaded either way. I mean comeon they get to be Goku Super Sayan Level 54347!!!11 And and and get to fight against Vegeta man and do the Kamamamamamayyyy attack and fly!!!11 And that's all that really matters in a fighting games.

Um...That game got me into DBZ. iI thought the whole series was stupid until my friend let me borrow budokai.

I found naruto 1 2 and 3 to be a WHOLE lot better than budakai...
tekken i found much better as well...
legazy of goku.... im sorry... one of the worst games ever.... you only flew for like 10 seconds... only punched, and had weak beam attacks.... I beat it in like 1.5 hours

No, the best fighting game ever is Shaq-Fu.

What?! Well, wrong website then. Budokai rocks. Budokai certainly is one of the bests. At least you get to master cool-looking moves and buy stuff. In Tekken, all those lame moves look the same. Sure Tekken is fun if you are in an arcade and you`re with friends but Budokai pwns.

Hey, uhm, not to go all liberal or anything, but a friendly warning: I'd be careful how you say stuff like that. It's pretty funny until you've got a racist lady screaming at you in that jibberish because you're Asian. =/

Ever played the MegaDrive game? Buu Yu Retsuden or something like that? (sp, I'm sure.) Nice game--not entirely on par with the immortal SFII, but a great effort and highly enjoyable.

Did anyone even play a MegaDrive? Looking at the name of it I don't think it came out in the US so no I haven't played not even on an emulator.

MegaDrive was the Japanese name for the Sega Genesis. No, it never came Stateside, but since emulation is so rampant I didn't think it was too far out of the range of possibility.

It did come stateside but it was called Sega Genesis.......
Anyway aparently Budokai is very underrated and no one likes it but me, that`s why 1 and 2 are greatest hits.

Actually, games get the Greatest Hits mark when they sell so many games (read: a lot).
The first Budokai was just an average fighting game by the standards, though the story mode was a nice change of pace from the normal. Still I see nothing gameplay-wise that even remotely compares to Soul or Virtua Fighter.
Honestly, I've yet to play a fighting game as good as Street Fighter II: Turbo.
But if you like it, more power to ya.

Budokai 1 - Best way to do the story
Budokai 2 - *dies* I really didn't like the story concept, and soooo many things on it were wrong. "Majin Cell"
Budokai 3 - the most in depth Budokai - Beginning to end of DBZ, this was cool.

Nononononononono! That's not what I meant. I meant the
game never came Stateside. Heavens, I know the Genesis did--I'm it's biggest fan!

Majin Cell? Um...what?
I thought it was funny if you messed up duing "Fusion." At least the fat Gotenks could fight a little...

In Budokai 2, during the Babadi/Majin Vegeta saga, while Bababi was trying to get the energy to release Buu, he resurrected Frieza and Cell, and put them under his control - thus Majin Frieza and Majin Cell (which never happened in the show!)

Oh yeah, I remember that. That was actually a good touch. It stinks you can`t play as Coller or King Cold in any of the games...or can you?

Cooler is a playable character in Budokai 3.

I wanna pick up BudoKai 3 now. My copy of Ultimate Battle 22 got dropped in the trash accidently...should I buy another one? I`d give that game a 5.5 on the scale of 1 to 10.
It`s 5$, BTW.

Only $5? Then, why not get it again? I say go for it if you want it!

Let's not forget
Dragonball Z: Sagas. Oh, what a fun game that was.

That`s sarcasm right? I heard that was ok. How`s Buu`s Fury? My friend is lending that to me next week.

Buu's Fury wasn't bad, but a bit short. Haven't played Sagas, but heard it wasnt all that good...

I haven`t heard a bad thing about Sagas, but I was curious about the newest Budokai. It`s described as the "Ultimate DBZ" game in GamePro magazine.

I love all the DragonBall Z games for Gamecube. My friends and I sit around and play them alot. They are worth a laugh because none of use are fans of the show, we just think they are insanely fun to play.
