Probably one of the best plat formers of it's time (maybe still), I am told. If you like Super Metriod or any of the GBA Castlevania games, you know what to expect.
Personally, I have only played a little bit of the game. It seemed to have a very great atmosphere, excellent score, and I hear it's fairly long, to boot.
-I just ordered the game, by the way.

There can never be too many Castlevania games.
Tom: Most of the games are rated T. As far as I know, only the 3D ones are M. It's more of a game by game basis and it depends on how much blood (if any) is in each one.
The best games in the series:
Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (Not avaliable in America)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PSone)
Castlevania III (NES)
Castlevania IV (SNES)

So this one isn`t 3D?
Are they`re any 3D games in this series that have a T rating?

I think the Nintendo 64 games are T, but they are considered by fans two of the worst entries in the series.
Castlevania does it's best as a 2D series.

Oh well, I heard a new one is ocming out soon and it looks really hot, but if it`s M, me can`t get it.

um... there is a PS2 game called Lament of Innocence. It's a prequel to all of the Castlevania games. I enjoyed it.

Agreed. I played the first and though the final battle was quite cool for its time, the game wasn't all that good. The 2D ones are defiently better.
I haven't played SOTN, but if it's anything like the GBA versions, then yea. And double yea to the DS Castlevania that's coming out.

You should really try Symphony of the Night. I found it a bit easy, but it's one of the best games the PSone has to offer.

So is that T?
2d Castlevania is extradoniary. 3D is just an aveage game, but I`ve only played the one for N64. I wanna buy the PS1 one.

Currently, of all the Castlevania games that are available are rated "T", the only exception is the PS2 one (Lament of Innocence). To answer your question in short: Yes, SotN is "T".
Anyways, I liked Castlevania 64. It was pretty cool for it's time (complaints aside), but… I agree with the crowd, Castlevania shines as 2-d.

how I'd rank em:
1. SOTN
2. Aria of Sorrow
3. Harmony of Dissonance
4. Lament of Innocence
5. Circle of the Moon
Probably the DS version will become #1 as it's a sequel to Aria of Sorrow which was the most fun to play (although SOTN is overall a better game)

Trust me that Rondo of Blood should be No. 1 on the list. If you ever have the chance to buy a Japanese PC Engine console and shell out another $100-200 for the import game itself, it's so worth it.

^^This is "Castlevania Lore".^^
It's one of the best sites for everything Castlevania, including Rondo of Blood and SotN.
