Suikoden

Before you know it, every RPG series will be put into a thread.....BY ME!
........sorry

I don`t know what the heck the title means but I was going to buy Suikoden IV and grabbed Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time instead. Is the series radical? Madcool? Bomdiggity?

I just want a game to play while I`m waiting for all the RPGs I`ve been waiting for to come out.

From What I`ve seen Suikoden`s graphics are similair to:
Suikoden 1- Grandia 1
Suikoden 2-same
Suikoden 3- Grandia 2
Suikoden 4- Star Ocean: Till the End of Time

I also heard Suikoden earns the crown for outstanding music. hmmmm......

Which ones are a good play? I eard the storylines are connected so should I start at 1?

if you can even find the first two games, by all means go for it. I've only gotten to play III so far and unfortunately havent finished it (lost my memory card with a save halfway through the last chapter), but from what I remember it was very fun. The connection between the games is more background information than vital plot points (one exception is the 27 True Runes), playing them all the way through will just let you know in much more detail the history of the wars that have sprouted.
