Man, all this information about new consoles all at once.
Mmm...the revolution sounds quite delicious, though. I certainly can't wait for this one.

it looks cool and all but it seems the ps3 is what you want if you want insane games and the xbox 360 if you want a all purpose machine. im really worried about the big Ns future with the other two systems being so much more powerfull

....WHAT?
That's ridiculous.
All three consoles are about the same, power wise.
PS3? No games have even been shown, aside from some CG tech demos.
X360? Revolution can play GC games, DVDs, etc.. you can even download games from all of Nintendo's old consoles.
PLUS it's wi-fi right out of the box.
And the best news?
WI-FI SMASH BROS. AT LAUNCH.

**DROOL**
And it plays DVDs?! YESH!!!
You other people (desperado) can go on ahead and play your "older audience systems". I'm stickin' with the N.

Long live Nintendo Revolution! I just can't wait to see a controller...

Looking at the GBMicro, I have a feeling the controllers will be the size of a credit card (partial jk).
Are there any more specs on the GBM yet? I orginally heard it would play discs and have some incredible capabilities, but this makes it sound like it's just a smaller GBA. (GBA Pocket?) Hopefully, (and most likely) it will be more than that.

That's basically what the article is saying. It's just another cosmetic change for GBA, like SP.

It's not how much power you have, it's how you use it.
If the GC can pull graphics like
this, I think we're good with the Revolution.
Besides, Revolution can play GC games, DVDs, it's wi-fi right out of the box, and you can download NES, SNES, and N64 games onto it. (True story! Iwata said so himself during the PressCon!)

Hmm, yes it doesn't seem to have much personality, does it? The angled stand is interesting though...

Well, it does have 512MB memory on board. That's not so bad. Besides, it's not designed as a media center, so you don't really need much more... Plus, you can add more memory to it with the slots for SD cards on it.

well roms are on average 3 mb per one and bigger ones get up to 8-10 mb. you get a bunch and that 512 is going to go bye bye fast.

I believe all the consoles will have wi-fi... at least I know the ps3 does.
And not all the ps3 previews were pre-rendered. Some were real time, but you have to rememeber that these people only had a few months to make these things for the new consoles. Does anyone have links for Revolution game trailers? I don't remember seeing any.
In the end though, it all comes down to games. If Revolution has phenomenal games, I'll buy it. Gamecube kinda let me down though as I am a rpg fangirl and theres like NO rpgs on gc. So far, I'm leaning towards ps3 because sony has done me good in the past.
one thing that got me though, was that in order to play dvds on the revolution you'd have to buy an attachment.... WHAT?! Did I hear right?? doesn't that come FREE with the ps2? A little behind nintendo...
EDIT: I'll definitely be buying the new Zelda game btw... so pretty~

I like all the new systems. I just prefer Nintendo controllors. They are just easier to use in my opinon.

I'm really interested in how the new ps3 controller will feel... but nintendo does indeed make AWESOME controllers. The gc one is so very comfortable to hold...

Definitely. The PS3 controller actually looks like a cheap PC controller... (It's the overly long wings! They're so... craptastic...)

boomerang mixed with a dual shock. dont know might be nice who knows. personally im weary of the nintendo controller due to so many people saying its going to be touch and not have buttons or analog.

I'm really hoping Nintendo doesn't go the way of touch. It's a nice add-on, like the DS had, but 100% touch controlled doesn't seem to float my boat. But who knows.
As long as it doesn't look like the PS3 controlled. XD Boomerang banana AWAY!

xbox made the same mistake with the "duke" controller. if it isnt popular you know they will have a dual shock like controller coming out

I thought it was going to be called the N5......
And I`ve seen a trailer for a PS3 game and the graphics are INSANE! Twice as good as Xbox is now. it was for Madden: Next Generation 2006.

That's basically what the article is saying. It's just another cosmetic change for GBA, like SP.
It's basically a GBA pocket.
Though I have heard there will be another GB in the future that's completely new and will have more power than the PSP, or something like that.
one thing that got me though, was that in order to play dvds on the revolution you'd have to buy an attachment.... WHAT?! Did I hear right?? doesn't that come FREE with the ps2? A little behind nintendo...
Nintendo always seemed to be "a little behind", but that's cuz they don't jump into things. The GameGear was suppose to have outdone the GB with color, but it sapped like six batteries in two hours. Nintendo waited and got mroe power for two batteries lasting thirty hours!!
Besides all that, Nintendo is a gaming system, so we N fans are lucky to even get this much. Besides, it probably won't be that much or may even change so it will be on it when you buy.
i rember reading that the ps3 had 4 times the power of the current gen then the 360 had 3 times and the revolution had 2.
The Revolution has the 3 times the power of the GC, but again, it's not about how much power you have, but how you use it.
I'm really hoping Nintendo doesn't go the way of touch.
I don't think anyone will be able to predict what they'll do. There was some rumor of gyros, too, but really, we can't tell.
Also, what's interesting is how they got that much power in that little package and, *dumdum* it's going to be even smaller when it comes out.

I'm sure Nintendo won't abandon traditional controllers completely, but they make add new functionality to the buttons, so you could get a different effect depending on how hard you push the button, or something like that.
