I mean, when they first arrive 'from afar' to Corneria, they have no equipment, no items, can be torn to shreds by almost any monster in the world, and 40% of the time they miss hitting their targets. How could people have believed that they were the chosen Light Warriors in the beginning? Yeah, sure, they had the crystals/orbs, but as warriors, they sucked too bad.

Kaemmerite, do you know how many of the elemtal orb powers they`e gotten so far. I mean, the guys been doing it for 5 years they have to at least of had found the Earth one so far. I stopped reading them at like Episode 350 but I`ll get back to it.

Perhaps it was more like the 8-bit Theater version. Why should we believe the narrator at the beginning? Our characters could well be complete fakes, followed closely by warriors with decent equipment and stats.

How did they get to Corneria in the first place? They had no equipment at all, no items, and they were level one. It was obvious that they'd never been to Corneria before, since nobody recognized them. So exactly where did they come from, how did they get the orbs, and how did they get to Corneria?

You expect a moving plot from Square on supposively their "Final" project (which is where their title comes from, but leave`s us asking: Which Fantasy is Final?).

Ok, this game was made in 1988 or 87 whatever when all you oldins were youngins. (Well, most of you, I wasn`t born yet. I had 4 years to go).

It was released on the NES (or as you japanese wannabes call it: The Famicom while until this year I just called them Nintendo or Super nintendo and just learned about the "Enterntainent System" crap. Though just writing NES or SNES saves typing time). And it was released on the same system as "Super Mario Bros." Anyways it wasn`t the original Mario game but people often confuse it to be.

Also Kaemmerite your post made so sense. To better answer the question by asking more......as Dr.Evil would put it: "Riiiight."

The fact that they were able to do that is obviously the reason they were the Light Warriors.

Square actually called their game "Final" Fantasy, because they believed the gaming industry was crashing and it was the last chance to make something good. Over ten games later...

A girl. Have you ever watched 8 bit Theatre or played Dawn Of Souls? It`s obvious there. I watched 8 bit theatre before playing FF1 so I expected the characters to have personalities like FF2.

This is a tricky question, with no real answer. Here goes, though...

It is of general consensus that the White Mage is a girl. 8-Bit Theater certainly took that view, and it's held by many, since the White Mage is a bit feminine looking.

However, the White Wizard (upgraded version of White Mage after giving Bahamut the Rat Tail) doesn't look as feminine. Here is a sprite gallery where you can see various sprites of White Mage after the class change:

Doesn't look like a woman, does it? Well, maybe an ugly, beefy woman...but I think it's probably a guy.

Further, the main characters of Final Fantasy III, the Onion Kids, are all guys. And when they change class into a White Mage, they look exactly like the White Mage from FFI. So unless they somehow change gender into a female, the White Mage is probably male.

But there's still no clear answer.

Who cares? There`s no proof Black Mage was a guy either.

In Dawn Of Souls they make it clear White Mage is a girl, Wizard or Mage.

Just click auto name and you never get one guys name for her and they still talk about her being a she in other websites like that.

I think she was intended to be a guy in the original FF though, not for GBA.

How good is Dawn of Souls? I thought about getting awhile back but I'm afraid of it being too much like the NES game.

dawn of souls is easier than the original version.... much much easier... but music and graphics is a plus

I have Dawn of Souls and it was EASY....hardest part was tryin to figure out where to go. It was so vague and there was no clue as of where to go. I got to lvl...70 or so with adv classes. They look so awesome too =D

Yeah, i know I ended up using FAQs to show me where to go.

This may just be a coincidence, but I noticed that when I upped the message speed to 6, their accuracy also seemed to increase 60%. Bizzare. Maybe the slower the message speed, the harder the game?
