Actually, that's how I stayed sane when I was in the Navy. I'd put in GTA 3, equip the sniper rifle, find a tall building, and...
"That's my division officer. *Piff* That's my division officer too. *Piff* That's also my division officer..."
And so on and so forth. Kept me from doin' it in real life.

How? In Vice City I got in the tank and blew up EVERYTHING I saw for about fifteen minutes, and the highest I got was the front page of USA Today (I used the fame cheat).

Does her teacher voice: Remember boys, what gets started in the mind can become action.

If y'all are above that, okay. I just really don't like that kinda game.

I was flipping through the guide for GTA: SA yesterday, looks like they added quite a bit, and the book is bigger than the double one they did for GTA3/GTA: VC.

Soon as it hits the XBox (or soon after) I'll be getting it. The game can be a lot of fun, and the over-the-top attitdue of the worlds they're in show how non-rooted in reality they are.

For those who don't like it, that's cool too.... it's not everyone's cup of tea, and the violence can be a big turn-off (anyone know the violence level of Simpsons: Hit and Run?).

I was a big annoyed with part of GTA: VC, the "movie studio" missions did fit the enviornment, but they could have been a bit less graphic with it, that aside I had a blast with VC thought I missed some of the feel that I got playing GTA3. Might have to do with GTA3 being a new experience where VC built on the GTA3 game.

It kills me when I see people rip GTA then talk about how they like such and such violent movie or game. You don't have to hurt a single polygon soul in any of the GTA games, you could drive around all day doing the speed limit. It all comes down to how you choose to play the game.

I love this game...I'll say I wish the graphics would've been improved and well the map is still somewhat hard to see clearly. The game still is overall loads of fun to play and no not because of the non-sensical mayhem you can spread, the missions are actually fun and diverse.

Though.....I wish it wouldn't have been so 'gangsta' like...sure it reflects the early 90's perfectly, still I don't dig the whole gang color thing.

And what violence would that be? I love Simpsons: Hit and Run, despite it being an obvious GTA knockoff.

They took out all the bad things really. Sure, you can still steal cars, but those cars suck. All the good cars you have access to from the phonebooths (once you've unlocked some). You can't kill anyone, even if you run them over. They just shout a line like "heyy" or "ah dios mio".

They took all the violence out of it really and kept the fun part clean. Unless that's what you meant by it, but it doesn't seem like it.

I really haven't gotten too much into San Andrea's yet... There are ALOT of GREAT new features.... but some reason it just hasn't grabbed me like GTA3 or VC did.

My friend got it for his PS2 and we played it a bit at his house... we had a similar experience.....

Though I'd have to disagree with the language thing.... I know White people who cuss that much, esp. the younger ones.... every other word if F-this and F-that... sadly it's quite common.

XBox and PC gets this in June, lot of people who aren't into the whole 90's thing for the music will like the CD changer option as in the previous GTAs for the PC and XBox.

Volt wrote:If you don't do the missions, you'll never unlock the rest of the map, it's pretty boring going back and forth on the same island. The game isn't intended like that. And even if you don't do anything bad, you'll just be driving buy and someone will yell a curse word or two. Or Tommy will make a vulgar remark. GTA was never made as a City/Life/Driving simulator.

ANd you have to steel a car sometime. There are no cars for sale at the begining of GTA3 or VC. So ya gota steal one.

w00t!!! I stole Pixels belonging to an unknown variable!

I didn't say it would be fun driving around, smelling the roses, obeying traffic laws. I said you just don't have to kill anyone, that simple. And I wasn't talking about language I was talking about violence.

I had to get it because I wanted to see how they did Los Angeles. I live near LA and I have been to San Fansisco and Las Vegas and I wanted to see how they made them. I love the game because its my escape from reality and it takes away my anger from the humanity (its a way of releasing the bottled up feelings inside of me). It helps me, when I feel angry I shoot a few peeps and get 6 stars, or when I am sad or depressed I could just drive around and enjoy the games graphics and scenery and connect the things to the real areas. I do not like the cussing and at times I feel dirty after killing soo many people but it is better to do it in a video game world than in the real world in where there is a consequence to these actions.
