^ and why?
Personally, I’m really looking forward to the final quarter of this year…..
Here’s my top ten:
1. Metal Gear Solid 3 – November (PS2): After watching of those trailers… I have some questions needing answers.
2. Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords – December (X-box): So far, so good…. The team working on this game has done a good job to live up to the original, but will the old voice actors return? They better.
3. Metroid Prime 2 Echoes – November (Gamecube): The singular player is looking better than the first. Yet, I’m not really excited about the multiplayer… seems to be a quick throw in.
4. Halo 2 – November (X-box): I like plasma swords. ^_^
5. Final Fantasy XII – December (PS2): I’m not sure about the real-time combat system…. Otherwise I’m dying for a new Final Fantasy.
6. Battle for Middle Earth – November (PC): If the game play EA is boosting about matches the kick-butt special effects… It’ll will be a RTS classic or at least a cool show game.
7. Star Wars Battlefront – September (PC): Fighting on a frozen wasteland with 64 people, smelly tauntauns, and AT ATs? I’m game.
8. Paper Mario – October (Gamecube): I still want my sequel to the SNES Mario RPG and with Square involved…. Guess this is the next best thing or next best thing that is possible to happen.
9. Advent Rising – January (X-box): Ok, I know this is a ’05 game, but I think it needs to be noticed. I’ve been watching this game for awhile… it’s coming along nicely… I just hope the fact it’s made by a small game company doesn’t hurt it.
10. Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War –November (PS2): I like flying and I want more flying… guess I’ll settle with this right now…. Ace Combat 4 was great.

Honestly, I know this thread seems more like things we are hoping to get, but there is almost something magical about the late night Christmas Eve service.
I would also like a KJV Bible, a Greek interlinear Bible and Greek english dictionary, some CD's, and if I am really really lucky, my mom will be able to find An American Rhapsody-one of my fav movies.
I don't know what games I could ask for. Any suggestions?

Fable - wha, no XBox, and I refuse to buy one, but I hope I can watch some friends play. It looks like a beautiful game, and I'm really hoping that once the XBox exclusive contract wears out, they'll make a PS2 version
FFXII - new FF + Tactics styled = <3!
DDR Max 2 - Okay, not new, but I've been waiting forever to get this. I'd go with the third DDR of PS2 they're bringing out, but it didn't look as good as Max 2. ^^;

Budokai 3 - (If it's out by then) But if I find out it's centered on DBGT, I may heart-brokenly change my mind
Some cool RPG - I've seen a lot that interest me, but I'd have to look more into them.
JakII - I've heard this was a cool game, but am not sure whether I should put it on my wishlist or not. Anyone have an opinion on it?

The main one I'm looking forward to is Baten Kaitos. I was uneasy about the battle system at first...but hearing more about it it sounds like a great new twist on RPGs, and the story sounds great.
...I'm also a mod on the official forum, so that might have something to do with it. XD

You aren't the only one, pal. That game was classic.
That said, I probably will get Paper Mario 2. I didn't care for the first one THAT much, but it wasn't bad.
I also look forward to Metroid Prime 2. The first one rocked, and the second one looks even better! I'm with ya on the multiplayer thing though...but who knows, it might be okay.
Finally, the game I am most definitely looking forward to out of them all is Wild ARMs: Alter Code F. Having been a Wild ARMs fan for ages, I can't wait for this one (November, w00t)! Now they just need to finish making Wild ARMs: Another Code F.

KOTOR2 seems kind of quick to me. December? Maybe it's Blizzard's dates that I've set the standard by.
I'm looking forward to eventually getting Metroid Prime Echoes and Starcraft Ghost, and I'll have to have a look at Battle for Middle Earth.
Of course, what I'll actually be playing is whatever I have right now: Metroid Prime (that game is bloody intimidating to me), Starcraft, JK2, and SMAC. Eventually, I hope to get Warcraft III working on my Linux boxen too.

Halo 2!!! w00t w00t go Halo!!! (I'm sorry, I sounded like a fanboy, didn't I?) Umm... Does it need explanation? Biggest Xbox game ever. I still play the original, and this one looks amazing! The graphics are incredible, and the new gameplay additions look so sweet! I can't wait to get on Xbox Live and kick some butt.
Dead or Alive Ultimate - DOA3 is probably my favorite fighting game ever, and things are looking better with DOAU. Not because of the girls. Heck, one of my few complaints about the game is the amount skimpy outfits. Still, the gameplay and everything else rocks! The Arcade mode on Xbox Live sounds awesome too.
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow - I know this game is old, and everyone is looking forward to Chaos Theory already (which has been delayed til '05) but I haven't gotten Pandora yet. The first Splinter Cell was one f the best games I had played in a long time, and PT looks all the better. Oh yeah, did I mention Xbox Live?
Burnout 3 - I've played it, and it was awesome! Looks and plays incredibly smooth, and it's fun knocking people off the road.
PoP: Sands of Time - Again, people are looking forward to the next Pop game, but I never got SoT. I played it and it was really fun, although I quickly got stuck.
Fable - I'm currently renting it out from Blockbuster (oops... late fees...) and it's been really good. I'm not quite so eager to buy it now though, since I'm getting quite a bit of gaming time out of it and it's so short. Still, I'd like to buy it.
Those are the games I really want. (In order) I don't expect to get them all for Christmas though. If I did, I would feel spoiled and greedy. Heh...
Oh yeah, last but not least, I hope to be playing Morrowing Game of the Year Edition. I own the game, but my friend has been borrowing it for several months. I hope to get it back before the year ends...

Most of the games that I want this year came out this month (Burnout 3, Monster Hunter, X-Men: Legends). Unfortunately I am getting them all for my birthday, so I will have to wait another two weeks to play them
However, there are still are few games that I want:
1.Guilty Gear Isuka (PS2)-I have never been a fan of the series, but it looked amazing on the X-Box. Hopefully it will be online...
2.Prince of Persia 2: Warrior Within (PS2)-Played and loved the first one, so I will get the sequel.
3.Gran Turismo 4 (PS2)-You either like it, or you don't. I happen to like the depth and realism.
4.Shadow of Rome-If I have an extra money, I'll get it.

Wow LA, TEN games? You wont have enough time in the next year to play them all.
At the top of my list was Suikoden IV. But this has been pushed back from Nov to Jan. So that one drops right off the radar for this season... bummer.
Since my number one is gone, the others are:
FFXII
MGS3
and... Well, thats it. I wont have enough money for anything else, so I just stick to the titles that have proven them selves to me.

Definitely...action RPGs are my second favorite type of games (after fighting games, or course
), so naturally I am looking forward to these two titles. Plus, I am in favor of any RPG that ditches the Japanese formula (big-haired adolescent leads saving the world along with a rag-tag band of misfits
).

I'm officially converting to import gamer.
I figure, I'm learning Japanese, why not use both my favorite hobby and my goal to further it? (Come to think of it, I believe games WERE the original reason for wanting to learn Japanese; it's been so long I forgot)
But since I'm no master of the Kanji or spoken language yet, I'll be starting off light, so that means this holiday season I'll be getting comfortable with copies of Biohazard 2 and 3, and the Japanese versions of Dino Crisis and Silent Hill. If I feel confident enough in my reading abilities by December, I may opt for the Final Fantasy Collection.
(I'm literally rushing to absorb the Kanji as fast as possible, using James Heisig's excellent books).
As for the spoken language, well, let's just say my dictionary is going to get an excellent work out.
