Konami has finally released an English trailer for Metal Gear Solid 3. You can find it at Gametrailers.com (it's trailer 6). MGS fans will immediately recognize that David Hayter is yet again doing the voice for Snake.
Both these trailers are PG (mild violence, no real blood or language)

Newest Trailer (English)

After watching both of these... my head is fill while tons of question... like..
1. Are there two Snakes? Or two methods of infiltration? Two Chapters, like MGS 2?
2. FOX is mention. Is that Grey Fox (Frank Something)? or just the unit?
3. If Snake is suppose to find weapons on sight... how did he get a hold of a M16 in the other trailers?
4. Is Ocelot Russian? where's his accent? and that Colonel guy too.
5. A British CO?
6. Do you think Ocelot's GRU "friend" will be there?
7. Will the Patriots be mention or a factor? Is that one factor that molds Snake into Big Boss?
8. I heard a Konami guy in a interview mention... old foes will return (yeah, foes with a s, pural) Mantis? The GRU dude?
9. Why do they call Snake, Jack?
I've got plenty more... man, my brain is dead.... so, sound off! What do ya'll think? Will this be the action movie/game masterpiece or is the creator crazy?

Some of these questions I can answer or at least make educated guesses for you right now.
1. Well obviously can't answer this one yet.
2. Big Boss created Foxhound in the 1990's I doubt Grey Fox had his title in the 1960's. My guess this is something unrelated to both.
3. Well he found the weapon on site didn't he? Is this supposed to be a question?:P
4. Ocelot was Russian that was established in MGS. Accents I don't know...
5. This is the Cold War era, East vs West of course the British and Americans worked together in covert operations.
6. The GRU is Russia's main intelligence agency. Their power and scope is much much larger than the KGB's and they still keep a relatively low profile. The GRU has the largest number of special operations soldiers in the world even today. They wouldn't of mentioned him if he wasn't gonna come up somewhere. This GRU friend is probably Colonel Gurlukovich.
7. Hard to say of course. I imagine the Patriots will play an obvious role somewhere.
8. Hmm trying to think of a villain that is old enough to even be alive in this decade...of course that's assuming it doesn't take place in some alternate dimension.
Mantis was with the Psychological Corps of the KGB so he could make an appearance.
9. Well maybe Big Boss/Snake/Clone/Alternate self in another dimension is actually named Jack?:P
Again these are just guesses for the obvious unanswered stuff and some just going on past game info. And of course assuming that there's not some wierd plot twist in another dimension/universal/plane of existence.

1. There will be no character switch.
2. Fox is the Unit that Naked Snake is in. It's not "Fox Hound" it's just "fox"
3. I'm not a weapons expert, so I'm going to assume you mean the russians wouldn't have M-16's... In that case, there are more than just russians in this game...
4. Ocelot is Russian, he doesn't have an accent because... Well, because... I don't know... Why didn't he in MGS and MGS2?
5. That may just be an oversight in the voice casting... Kojima can't be held responsible for that one.
6. Maybe
7. I think the Patriots will be one of the focuses (foci?) of the game. They will be a major influence in the story.
8. Old Foe 1: Our hero, Big Boss (well, he was a foe in MG1 and MG2... Most american players never actually got to see him... It's a crying shame...) Old Foe 2: Ocelot. Old Foe 3: Dr. Petrovich (as a comrade in this game, since he teams up with Naked Snake aka Big Boss.)
9. I'm guessing that's Big Boss' real name.
I wonder if any lingering plotlines from the first two games will show up here, like the children in Zanzibar land...

I have every answer to every question in the game: Wait and buy it.
How bout we all just wait and by the game people??? This isn't a theology class or the FBI training. No matter how the plot gets screwed up or doesn't, it'll still be awesome.

Come on guys, quit the bickering. I don't want to have to lock this. Yes Pumpkin Korn, waiting and seeing is one way to know. But some people enjoy pondering the endless possible plot twists the new game might have. Myself included. If you don't like seeing people banter and formulate there own ideas about the game...you should probably avoid threads called "Metal Gear Solid 3 mysteries"
Anyway. My own views.
I think Jack is Big Boss....in the new trailor the big guy tells The Boss to "cut out his eyes" and we all know Big Boss was missing one. Also, at the 4:40 mark in the trailor...pause it and check Snake out. I am quite sure there is blood running down his face where an eye should be....

um, Snake doesn't drop w/o weapons. in the E3 trailer he pulls out a knife and a Colt 1911 after taking off his parachute. So maybe he packed an M16 too. I doubt it though; more likely than not A) it is not included in the actual game (AKA flame-dart gun in HL2 trailers) or B) somebody in Russia has it for some reason or another.
EDIT: um, I guess Snake DOES drop without weapons. in the english trailer, that is. is it just me, or did the Japanese voice actors COMPLETELY OWN the english ones? Ocelot sounds like a little milquetoast 3rd grader in the english trailer. watch the E3 trailer and the english one; there are big differences in VA quality (except David Hayter, he is forever enshrined in the Hall of Super Seiyuu). And what happened to the HALO jump in the E3 trailer? that was cool, but now it's gone, I guess.

1. Yup... David Hatyer rocks. Actually, I have always liked the actors for these games. Even Meryl (though she was not my favorite.) David Hayter IS solid snake for all purposes... Wouldn't that rock if he played Snake in the movie? He probably won't, because he's writing it. If the movie is about the original Metal gear, maybe he'll play big boss? That would be great! Anyhow... Yeah, I have always loved the voice overs, which is why the guy from G4's "Judgement Day" can be shot now, thank you. Pompous Donkey.
2. The english trailer is NOT the opening, it's just a trailer. The opening that we have seen in Japanese (with the Halo drop) will be the same in English and in Japanese. The halo drop will stay.

うそだよ! if that's true, why is there a drop from a MiG (MiG-21, i think) AND from the AC-130 Spectre? two drops? whatever, it'll be explained when the game comes out.

Oh crap... Those were two different drops... I think the one with the skull face paint takes place later in the game... There will be no character switch, but there will be a time gap... That's what I'm guessing.
Also, it sounded like snake was talking when the line was said "Who was the soldier" but that's not David Hayter's voice... Oh, boy... This could get interesting...
provided my parents get gamefly for me, I will be try to get snake eater, though I know it will be in HUGE demand (like trying to rent halo 2 or Final Fantasy XII) so I likely won't get it until march or april next year...

A Fishbed? A Mig-21 Fishbed is a shortrange fighter it's not possible to make a "jump" from that.

Hmm... I've been analyzing this, and remembering what Kojima had said... He basically said a lot of people were going to be mad again, and that we'll be able to decide whether we keep playing about 11 minutes into the game... I wonder if this will change some major world event which would make this alternate history... I mean, there was no "outer heaven" in 1995, no "zanzibar land revolt" in 1999... So, maybe this will introduce more messed up history, like a nuclear attack that never happened or something... Nothing to lose with biggies like Outer heaven and especially the Zanzibar thing... That may be the big surprise... This is an obviously alternate universe from ours...

Snake is launched from the fighter in a 'pod-thingie' much like the SDV from MGS. (except it's not underwater, duh.)
