Thief: Deadly Shadows on PC or Xbox.

You mean the buggy system crashing Theif:Deadly Shadows? The one thats unplayable till the patch? Skip it and get Rise of Nations, any Monkey Island game or Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon. And if you don't have it yet you might want to pick up KOTOR.

Curious, the only bug I'd ever encountered was getting stuck in objects, and it was always possible to escape once stuck. However, I was playing the Xbox version and not the PC, and I also found it was very playable.

The PC version has some serious bugs. Crashing to windows and what not making the game almost unplayable.

Yeah, it is.... but I'm not quite sure why aside from the violence... and then only if you go around on a killing spree which a professional doesn't do (why did they remove that from the new game?)
Note also that Theif isn't online play either which was asked for in the original post (though well worth playing).

Oops, my mistake on online play. Perhaps the old Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition As to Thief, yes it is rated M for blood and violence, but that depends on your playing style, it is possible (and I would argue wiser) to kill no humans (though there are all sorts of supernatural creatures one doesn't really have a choice on). I say knock outs are wiser because they leave no bloodstains that one must clean up with a water arrow (instead of using the same on light sources) or risk having other guards notice. Also, knocking out enemies makes much less noise than those you kill when they die.

Deus Ex is one of my all time favorites. Yeah you can play the whole game without really killing anyone.

I like Starcraft Mr_Anderson. It's a fun game! So don't make fun.
Oh, but you should try that, it is a good game. Or you could just settle for FreeCell on your computer.

Isn't Final Fantasy XI rated T?

If you are willing to wait until September (which isn't that far away
), I would recommend the upcoming Monster Hunter for the PS2. The game is rated T, and is basically an action RPG similar to Phantasy Star Online (one of my favorite games of all time).
The game features online play, allowing you to form a party with up to four players. You can also play the game offline in single player mode, if you prefer.
The object of the game is to gain experience and acquire items by hunting monsters (and not in the Pokemon sense of the word: these monsters are actually monstrous). The interesting part about that game is that you can use the bones, teeth, skin, etc. of fallen monsters to create new weapons and armor. There are tons of combinations, making for rewarding item-hunting.
I am looking forward to this game (even though I tend to avoid RPGs), and I would have already posted something about it in the "Release Dates" thread, if someone else would post there to keep me from double posting.
Here is the official website:
http://www.capcom.com/monster This is one of the those rare games that looks great, but doesn't get a lot of hype. I expect it to be awesome, even if it doesn't sell that well.

My quick recommendations.... these are all "E" to Teen"....
PC:
-Knight of the Old Republic (may sure you have a good system first, 512 megs of RAM and 64mb graphics card) - you don't have to be a Star Wars fan to love this game; If you are a RPG and a little bit of a Sci-fi fan
-Command and Conquer Generals: My favorite RTS on the PC, next to Total Annihilation
-Call of Duty: The most frantic World War II game I've played, the action never lets down and it has the best Car chase level (two, in fact, but the other's kinda a truck. Yeah, has the best truck chase too then)
-Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow: Very unique multiplayer experience
'Cube:
-Metroid Prime
-Star Wars Rogue Squadron II - for best single player,
-Star Wars Rogue Squadron III -fair singular player, but has an awesome mulitplayer Co-op mode
PS2: (I haven't owned it long)
-Armor Core is a good series
X-box
-Knight of the Old Republic
-Splinter Cell - A little trial and error, though
-Crimson Skies
All console games
-Freedom Fighters
-Beyond Good and Evil
- Soul Calibur 2
-Burn Out 2
That's all I can think of off the top of my head...

If you go hunting at EB you should be able to find a copy of Total Annialation, which is a great RTS, once you've gotten a handle on the resource system and whatnot.
I think it was re-released or something, much like Theif, which can also be found, both Theif Gold and Thief 2 (play the 1st one 1st)... can't remember, but I think they both have an M rating though... and they're older technology, but it's still a great game.

Did they come with the expansion packs?
I played with them over at an old friends house a long time back... it's like... holy freaken' cows of Canada that's a lot of units! I’d say there’s well between 150 to 300 new units added. I really wish I could find 'em... to lazy to check on E-bay or use E-bay for that matter.
O'yeah... do a google search on the game or check Gamespy's custom Total Annihilation (planetTA or planet something) site.... they have tons and tons of really fun new custom units and mods.

Out of all of those. If you're a Star Wars fan go with Kotor. It's a wonderfully done and fun game, I think.
As for FFXI... I love Final Fantasy games, but not MMORPGs... either you get bored of them fast or you're addicted to them. Personally, they don't entertain me enough to surive a 14-day free trial or pay around $10 a month. Wait for... World of War Craft, I say.
And Warcraft III.... it's a great game, but it's a little hard to master and the people online are brutal. So yeah, It's a challanging game... I can tell you that.
*
does the force hand wave thing* you will buy Kotor.

I'll look into KOTOR after the exepanshion pack for CoD comes out!
