The xbox360 is not a revolution...

Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

Yeah that's hl2.

The author uses GMod to create comics using the HL2 (source) engine.

It doesn't look like he's using the graphics to their full potential though.
had enough.

If you have a currently existing laptop, it won't top all three systems... Nvidias RSX, for instance, is better than anything out for computer systems right now, at the very least better than anything they've put out (and since NVIDIA and ATI are pretty much the only names that matter in this field right now, I think they know what they're talking about). The systems meet modern computers in processor power and they're dedicated, so they don't have OS's and hardware profiles to slow them down.

Also, if you have a gaming dedicated laptop that's top of the line, it's more like 10-12 times more expensive than the 360, not 4-5 times... Top of the line Gaming Laptops are around 5000 dollars... I would NEVER pay that much for a gaming machine, unless inflation really got out of hand in the next few years...

Uhhh I never saw the need for a "gaming laptop"... if you're going to game.... then playing on a battery will do no good, that thing will drain faster than the time it takes for me to use the bathroom  To say that you'll play with the powercord is silly, with that logic just get a desktop.

Besides with a videocard that expensive, it sure would generate loads of heat man

why not get a good gaming desktop rig? You can make a really good one for about 1500 dollars (yes, even dual PNY geforece 7800 with a top of the line ASUS motherboard) Assuming you are going to make it yourself (i found some sweet directions in the pc gamer magazine)

Another thing, your videocard is one of those "mobile" types cause its a laptop. To be perfectly honest, no laptop videocard now can triumph an xbox 360 on an HD television...

Also just curious, what videocard do you exactally have?

Macs and linux are SUPPOSED to not crash (i don't believe that for a second).

Yeah, I have XP, but I guess that matrix thing was supposed to be a joke on 98.

when I had 98, I got that same message every 2 minutes.

I'm just willing to accept the fact that all three systems will have great games. And that it doesn't take a month to see the potential of a system. Like I've said a dozen times before the 360 and the PS3 just have the games more to my liking. I'm sure the Revolution will be awesome and have great games, but I'll just wait and see.

I cannot count the number of times I was writing something in Microsoft Word, had the system freeze, and lost ALL MY DATA. It made me want to destroy things.

Actually, Tom, Windows XP IS a halfway decent OS, to tell the truth. I mean, it does crash more than I'd like it to, but not half as much as 98.

I hated 98. 95 was better than 98, let me tell you. I find XP to be decent at the least, but everyone is titled to their own opinion.

Either you don't spend much time on your computer or you aren't using windows

I do not believe you for one second, sorry Tom

im running winxp and I have loads of problems at times. I had less trouble with my Macintosh...

and a lot of linux distros barely crash... my friend runs gentoo (I think) and his works perfectly fine

Windows may be good for many things (gaming, etc) but certaintly NOT the most stable..

I post to remind everyone of the original topic. The Windows versus Macintosh debate has been gone over many times before, and no more is necessary.

May want to check with what you're putting on it. I have had 2 computers with XP. I had a grand total of one BSOD caused by a damaged hard disc sector (fixed by Scandisk). It's stable. Mine runs well. If it screws up it's because of something I put on it

Xbox360 is the exact same thing as Xbox only a little bit better graphics.

Actually, the stability of the system depends just as much on the machine as on the OS. I've had one XP machine machine that crashed at least once a day and one XP that never crashed.

I must say that our most stable machine is the Amiga 1000. It's still running perfectly.

Anyway on the Rev-360 issue, I still have faith that the power of the Revolution will match up with the competition. Nintendo said so themselves.

Its really sad the 360 isn't doing to hot in Japan. Infact, its doing worse than the original did at launch time. There was only like I think 330,000 unit(keep in mind that the number is rounded) Tokyo. There might've been more sold in other parts in the country. The system might start to gather up steam when Misterwalker(a company founded by the four original guys who worked on the Final Fantasy series) start releasing it's two titles for the system; Blue Dragon and Lost Odyessy. However, capcom is developing a game that might help the 360 out. The game is entitled Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions, and might just be the boost that the 360 has been needing.

Check gametrailers.com for the trailer.

As far as new systems go I always wait about a year and watch the prices cool down. If everyone did that, the gaming industry would die like Ricky Martin`s career.
