I hope this helps...
Strategy/RPGs: Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Tactics Ogre
RPGs: Golden Sun 1 and 2, also the Castlevania games awesome too (they're like a hybrid action/RPG)

The Hamtaro games could actually be considered RPGs except that there's no fighting in them. There is a little action every now and then, though. But mostly it's just running around figuring out what to do. (Very well designed, in my opinion. ^_^ )

Phantasy Star Collection is a good one (3 RPGs - one cartridge). I like Golden Sun too.

Seriously, I'd recommend Breath Of Fire 1, Golden Sun as games I've played and like. For ones I want to buy, I'd list Sword of Mana, Harvest Moon GBA, and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

Oh, by the way, someone needs to edit this thread title. :)

Final Fantasy Tactics is a great game, but if you really want a good game, get Fire Emblem. I just recently played that game on the GBA and I love it.
