Redemption The Card Game

Anyone play it? Lightbringer and I just got starter decks the other day at a Bible shop. It looks promising. Seems a bit similar to Magic The Gathering.

I had a starter deck years ago, but no-body else played it. I've sworn off TCGs anyways - I can't afford to be competitive with them (time- or money-wise), and if I can't be competitive with them, what's the point? It did look kind of interesting, although I think it would be better if some Christians made a TCG that wasn't so blatantly . . . how do I say this without offending . . . typically Christianish. What I mean is something that has a wider appeal. An online TCG would pwn, especially if it integrated with the DS or something where you could connect to the Intarweb with your DS, download your card collection, and take it on the go. Like the Yu-Gi-Oh! GBA games, only cooler. Yeah. Something like that.

Played my first game tonight. Its actaully a lot better then I thought it would be. It is not a knock off of Magic or Overpower or anything. Its pretty original in its rules. Slightly cliche...but still fun enough to be worth getting into.

I'd like to try it, but you can't get it in the UK except through specialist dealers, all of which are on Mainland UK!

Can't even mail order it to here! Pah...

I'd much prefer sticking to Magic anyway, Ravnica is an excellent set.

I got a few booster packs today, founds some pretty decent cards, i was happy. I wouldn't say its cleche at all. If it was you'd have good and evil decks and good would always win.

They make you use Good charicters to attack and win souls *wich are basically for points from what i gather* and you defend your souls with evil charicters who of coarse dont want peoples souls to be saved.

I havn't quite figured out what site cards are for. Also im still trying to figure out the deck building rules. but other then that I think i'll be quite happy playing. The best part about traiding card games is of coarse opening the booster packs and seeing what you got. First pack i opened i got beast of the earth, wich isn't ultra-rare but its pretty darn good. 10/10 so hey , go me.

Another cool thing about it is that its a game thats still alive and well, alot of traiding card games die out pretty quick. They hold national tourniments evan, i'll look into it once i've acumulated a better deck.

Bought a starter deck a very long time ago. Looked like a good game, but I never had anybody to play against, so I never used it and simply lost interest.
