FFVII Remake!?

In the Tetsuya Nomura interview he hints that FFVII may be coming for the PS3.

Now, in my oppinion it's the most overrated RPG ever, but I love the heck out of it. I took one look at the tech demo at E3 and said to myself "No way they'd take the time to do something that great looking, just to have it end up as a tech demo."

Anyone else squeeling with joy at the thought of this?

We already mentioned this in the AC thread. They said a FFVII remake would take at LEAST five years, and they have too much work to do already. It ain't gonna happen. Let the series die, people.

Except that it is just a tech demo. They needed something to show that they're working with the hardware. They also stated that they have no plans for a remake.

"FFVII remake for PS3" I think the thread was called. I`m not a mod but I would just like to tell you words of wisdom: "Search bbefore starting a thread." If the there is a thread about, but it`s ridiculously old, then start a new one, but if it`s somewhat new, post there.

FFVII was a great game. From what I`ve heard there is a remake for PSP called "Crisis Core" but for all i know, it could be a new game. The main reason Crisis Core is believed to be a remake is because FFVII was the crisis.
