Wild Arms

Not sure if theres a topic about this but there should be! Who here has played any or all of the games from this tremendous RPG series (Wild Arms)? What game was your favorite, your favorite characters, favorite ARMS/guardians and memorable fights?

My favorite has to be the origonal, it and chrono trigger can take the blame for getting me hooked on rpg's (il sue later). It had great characters on both the good and bad sides, some awsome locations, a decent storyline and ALOT of subquests, what more could you need? I liked 3 too, though it took me a while to get into, its got some great music and somewere along the line loses its repeditivness and draws you in, plus the graphics were something different. I never got to play 2, never released it here :shady:

Lets discuss!

Well I don't have much to say. I just played the third one, infact I have it, and am not very far. Right now my favorite is the sniper guy. That's about as much as I can give you for now.

I borrowed Wild Arms 3 for a little while, but I didn't play it long enough to get hooked. I dunno, I don't think I'd appreciate the puzzles in the long run. It's one thing to have puzzles in a Zelda game, but not a party-based rpg where all I want to do is level up and advance the story.

Wait... I've never played it, but this is what I am hearing from you guys...

So it's like Final Fantasy meets 7th guest in a Dead Lands universe?

1 is the only one I played. It's ok. Not to bad, not to great.

It's a fantasy RPG in Wild West like setting.

Wild Arms was my first playstation RPG... something to hold me over till FF7 came out. yet it was fun, i like the opening anime/tune and i remember that 'Mother' freaked me out in one part of it.... hehe. /// one of my friends has been into the rest of them, but not i. i do have a few of the anime dvds.

Deadlands is pretty close to Wild Wild West... Interesting... I may have to borrow this. Thanks for the tip!

Each new release gets even closer to the wild west theme. The 3rd installment is only RPG I know of where the main character actually DOES NOT use a sword as the main weapon.
