Did anyone else like this game? Some called it shallow compared to Age of Empires, but I thought it was a whole lotta fun for 10 bucks.

I remember playing the demo of that on my friends computer for hours...oh those were the days. It is pretty much like the Caesar games, except Egyptian style, from what I got.

I loved just fooling around in it back when the demo came out, but I never got very far in the full game once my sister bought it. Some of the micro-management details got impossible to maintain, namely water supplies since the carriers only went so far.

I really love ancient Egypt (as in it's interesting to read about), so Pharaoh was perfect.

Alrighty, I can do that.

Pharaoh is basically a blend of Sim City 3000 and Age of Empires. You build an ancient Egyptian city, complete with infrastructure, industry, etcetera, and then try to accomplish various goals with it. For example:

1) Build a temple complex.
2) Contruct a pyramid for the Pharaoh.
3) Establish a trade route and become prosperous.

You also can build armies and fight off enemies or go to the aid of other cities. It's a great game and, since it's getting a bit old, can be had for under ten buckavos... A lot of fun for a little money, IMO.

Age of Empires loves you too Zelda!!!!!!!!

No seriously, I don`t see how you can 'love' a game where you have no control of the characters and you just watch them fight in horrible graphics.
