The .hack/sign game looks really good. Can anyone tell me about it? Is it as good as the final fantasy games?

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

Once you've decided on a course of action, only you can finish it. As long as you remember that, there's nothing you can't accomplish.

Well, it's hard for me to really judge because I got ALOT of Game Overs in the first 20 or so minutes and haven't played since!

The set up is just liek the show. You have one main area and you travel around by entering passwords to get into different areas. Ummm in every area there are battles and then a dungeon where you HAVE to beat everything in the room to pass into the next one. The fighting style of the game is VER free-style, especially since you have to move the camera angels alot to fight :/

That's about all I can say for now... cut scenes are quite nice in it. It's a game that does has some getting used to. But yeah I'd say it's quite different from RPGs like FF. Maybe I should start playing it again soon...

It's not comparible really...apples and oranges. I've played them all and it's got one of the best story lines I've ever seen. It is soooo much fun. Yeah it is hard...I got game overs like cazy when I first played it. No matter how high level you are you can still die. You can be level 60 and still get beat by lvl 30 monsters. Yeah lol.

I love it none the less. Definitely a great buy...just watch out for the final boss at the end of Disc 1...I got over 20 game overs just fighting him...

The magic and abilities rock too. It's very free style like Tenshi said. Free movement and everything. You can avoid battles in the fields by just avoiding the monster symbols. But in the dungeons you have to beat the monsters to open the doors...so I'd fight as much as I could to level up.

Other than that its tooooo good to pass up. Definitely play it.

Hmm... I didn't get all that many game overs, but I'm by nature a "nervous" gamer. I *hate* game overs, especially when I can't save just prior. This game *does* have a cool plot lilne, though.

As a moderator, however, I should note that the intro movie has some "suggestive material."

I liked it, but it's just not something I could justify splitting into multiple games. I'm very disapointed in the manufacturer for that. The majority of the differences really aren't there, and the size of the data on those discs leads me to suspect that the manufacturer simply wanted to make more money by adding more side quests. I can understand to some extent, but I would NOT have bought the first game if I had known that in advance...

Oh I was VERY nervous when I was at the end of FF7! The word "final boss" was what got to me and so I put the game aside for a good long time until I was finally patient and relaxed neough to get Knights of the Round and beat it with no problem! But I still often quit games when I get stuck^^ Then I move onto a different one!

Suggestive? Does it have to do with the shape of the large staff? I watched it a while ago and that's the only thing that might be slightly offensive.

I only have the first two. I got Mutation first since it was only $20 CDN, and then Infection for $25. Nice to wait for the price to fall a bit or get somepreviously payed ones. Last I seen Outbreak it was around $50 and Quarantine was abotu $70 :/

I loved GIFT! So funny... But they really could've done without the random nudity -_-' .hack really isn't that type of show, although there are a few parts in Twlight. I guess they just wanted to "give service to the fans".... :/
