Well, Tas and I beat tales of symphonia last night, 60:00 hours and that doesnt include the final boss.Please do not read the spoiler unless you have already beat the game(or have gotten to and back from welgaia).
[spoiler] The sad thing is Mithos Yggdrasial, almost had a rational reason to do what he did. I swear when mithos came out of the crystal after origin I thought he was going to posses genis, or kratos. but when Martel came out of the great seed into collette, that was the real blow to him.[/spoiler]

my bros and I are so getting it...in August.
sigh...my parents don't allow the GC out in the fall, so we have to beat it in three weeks or wait until december to play again. We get addicted, so I suppose it's good for us all.

Tales of Symphonia is the sequel to one of the greatest SNES RPGS of all time Tales of Phantasia. The only thing I can find wrong with it is that the characters are a bit annoying. Other than that it looks to be a promising edition to the RPG genre. I may get it.

The ONLY thing I found annoying ever so slightly, about the game, is the character "Colette" and the script following around her? The voice actor they gave her is not good and delivers the lines a bit sappy I think! She is cute but they give her the worse things to say with a annoying voice. ^-^;;

Yeah, some of the themes are pretty weird. There's great themes like fighting against discrimination, about how every life has a purpose, etc, but parts of it seem to be anti-religion....
Zelos' lines could've been a little better, too.
