Mario Bros 25th Anniversary!

Postby Sparx00 » Tue Sep 14, 2010 5:08 pm

Back in September 1985, Mario ate a mushroom. A gigantic, potentially dangerous mushroom spawned from a question mark block. Covered in enough slime to go on a never-ending slide across the ground, Mario would somehow consume the entire thing – as big as himself – in just one mouthful.
Rather than killing him, the mushroom instead transformed the plumber into a giant turtle stomping power house. It was this moment that transformed gaming into what it is today. Pure awesomeness.

Thanks Mario!

Happy 25th Anniversary!

You make it sound like a bad thing.

That being said, I just made Paper Mario cookies the other day for my brother's birthday. o__o Wow, good timing? I guess I'll share them here to commemorate too!
(you can't see Goombario that well because of the light... I'm sorry >__<; )

You have... Yoshi, a Paper Mario-ized Luma, Goombario, a Star Point, and a pipe! Yay for Mario! ^__^

25 years and he still hasn't married the princess.

Thank you mario for wasting more than 100 or so hours (I'm sure by now I'm up to that) and still being a bundle of fun to play still, props plumber dude.

What about poor Pauline, his girlfriend from the original Donkey Kong? Is she chopped liver because she's the only girlfriend who wasn't royalty?
