Prayer for me
I don't have much faith. When I pray, I don't feel forgiven, I don't really feel anything. You're supposed to have peace of mind after you pray, right? I don't. I don't feel any closer to God, or anything. I wonder if I'm really saved sometimes, because my pastor said that on Judgement Day, there would be those that thought they were saved but really weren't. I don't know...just pray for me to become closer to God and with peace of mind.

hmm... well, how does one pray? how does one ask for forgiveness...?
Have you admitted to God that you cannot save yourself and that without Jesus' blood that there is no way to get into heaven?
Have you asked for forgiveness?
Have you told the Lord how much you love Him?
Have you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord?
maybe you missed something... it's hard to say. I don't know your heart. But I'll pray that you find the peace of God in your heart and that he will fill you with His love.

God isn't trying to trick you. You don't have to do anything but believe...even when you can't feel anything inside. He might be trying to strengthen you...to seperate faith from emotions. It seems that you've entered a valley right now. This won't last forever. Just wait on Him, and He will bring the water rushing back in again...
This is the time for fasting, for sacrifice, for drawing close to God...it is a time of training and discipline. Maybe you're farther along on your walk then you might think...I know that with me, Satan doesn't have to do a thing...he just leaves it to me to worry, to decide that maybe I haven't even started on the journey at all...when I can't see or feel God near me, I tend to forget that He's living inside of me in the first place. Have faith, and know that you're in my prayers.
