Another hero gone

My uncle died today
He was the first officer on the scene when the double decker bridge collapsed during the San Francisco earthquake.
He was awarded every medal the California Hishway Patrol could issue him.
He ran with the Olympic torch on it's way to Atlanta.
More than all of this, he was loved deeply by his brother, my dad. I loved him too, and it's really strange to be speaking of him in the past tense like this....
Regardless, please lift up not only our family, and my father in particular, but the Hernandez family as well.
Thanks.

Apparently, he was an even bigger hero than I knew.
Governor Schwarzenneger is going to be at the funeral on Wednesday, along with three thousand other people.
Thanks for all the prayers, guys. I really appreciate you all.

He will be remembered for what he did.

I will pray for your family, your father, and everyone else that he touched.
