Sharing a praise ...

I just wanted to share this praise with you all ...

My wife and I made a tough decision last year and that was to leave our church. It was the only church home I've ever known and my wife's family still attends so it was a conclusion that took quite a long time to come to. The fact of the matter is, it was an older church. There was absolutely no one our age to fellowship with, which we dealt with for at least two years in spite of our stagnant walk with Christ. And then our son was born. The only baby in the entire church. Which means no programs for him either. Well, that was the final straw. A couple of months went by and we had struck out at two churchs in our search for a place that felt right. And then, last October, we found a church in the next town over that seemed to be the answer we've been looking for. Well, let me tell you now that it's May and our prayer has definitely been answered. We've befriended at least a dozen couples our age and the nursery is packed with children my son's age. The doctrine and teaching is almost identical to our last church (which is a good thing) and we couldn't be happier. We fellowship weekly with people of similar situation and interest and we feel like we are being 'fed' again and are growing spiritually.

Our God is awesome God.

That is great! Praise the Lord! I'm having the same problem right now, since my church is full of either middle-aged to elderly people or very young children. There are no 20-somethings (except for the pastor's kids and a couple of others who -- how shall I put it -- don't really make me feel like I'm engaging in fellowship with Christians; hope that's not too harsh). But I'm praying about it, and I'm sure God will lead me to where He wants me to go.

Congrats, PreventerWind!
