Prayer for my friend

Ok here goes. *takes a deep breath* A friend of mine at youth group is having surgery on his Kidney today. Awhile back one a his kidneys failed and they had to take that out. Now the one he had left has grown to big, and the doctors have to cut it in half. Please pray for his family and the doctor the they would have wisdom in what they do.

How old is your friend? Will he need dialysis (to be hooked up to a machine to filter his blood) when he's done?

Wow. Cutting one's only remaining kidney in half seems pretty counter-intuitive. I'll pray.

He is 14 years old, and I'm pretty sure he will be on dialysis.
