HUGE prayer request

Postby majanthehun » Mon Apr 05, 2004 9:07 pm

okay, i don't know how many of you remember me, but i used to post all the time here around the start of the year, before i left for college. Well, i left for college and found out that there's NO internet access there, and no where i can get it. so my posting days at CAA were stopped abruptly, much to my dismay.

well, to make a long story short, i'm on spring break right now and thought i'd stop in-- i know that you guys are prayer wariors, and i need prayer now. i was just planning on staying in southern california during the break, but i got a call from my mom that says that i need to be on a plane in 36 hours- my grandma (if you remember, i moved in with her before i went to school to help take care of her) is dying and she won't be alive in may when i get out of school. so i'm flying home tomorrow to see my grandma for the last time (unless God works a miracle, which i wouldn't put out of reach), which is kinda scary.

pray that my family will be strong and that we will grow through this because its hard (as im sure some of you know).

anyways, i have to go pack (my flight is early tomorrow morning) so just pray for me and the family and keep in touch.

thanks guys, i owe you more than you know!

I've never lost a family member before, it must be tough. I'll be sure and pray for you, your grandmother, and your family. May Gods grace shine upon your grandmother and lead her peacefully to his eternal embrace.

I'll be praying. Sounds like something that happened with my family and grandfather in '94 but I don't need to go into that. I'll be praying.
"Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."

Majan, it's so wonderful to see you here--even if under sorrowful circumstances. We will most certainly pray.

BTW, what college are you at?

I'll pray as well. I know how hard it is to see a loved one for what will probably be the last time - I'll pray that, if it's God's will, it won't be the last time you see your grandmother. If it's her time, I pray that you and your family's memories will be deep and comforting. It's nice to see you again, btw.
