A Prayer for Truth and Insight

I've been going to church and stuff for about 6 months now (my youth group) and 2 1/2 years with my church choir and even though I've done the retreats, camps, and all that I've been feeling like a fake.
I think I might never have actually recieved Christ so I hope anyone will pray that I find some truth or insight.
Also if you guys can suggest verses/books to help, that'd be great. Thanks

Awwww! I have a suggestion for you: have some of your Christian friends pray with you while holding hands, and ask that Christ and the Lord both be accepted into your heart. I used to feel the same way you did because I did this on my own, but when I had friends there holding my hand, it made the difference. Oooooh, even though I am not Baptist, you may try getting Baptized - this shows a commitment to the Lord. (Suggestions only, you do not have to do them if you feel uncomfortable.)
As for parts of the Bible, I suggest Acts - Saul/Paul being spiritually reborn into the Lord's love. It is not only a good read but you can identify with it! ]
[size=84]I shall also pray for you! Good luck!

I'll pray for you. I suggest reading the book of James. It's a great guide for thinking and acting more like a Christian. Also, "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis and "Stepping Heavenward" by E. Prentiss are great Christian books that have helped me to grow tremendously. Note: I'm not sure if you're male or female, nightblade, but "Stepping Heavenward" is targeted more toward women. However, it still helped me a lot even though I'm a guy. Only a few parts don't really apply to guys, but overall, it's great.

I'll pray that God may touch your heart and that you'll have a personal relationship with Him.
You're welcomed to PM me if you need to talk. I don't know all the answers but I'm willing to listen and help wherever I can. ^^

*thinks*
Hmmm.... I know there's a scripture. Aha!! *lightbulb*
Here's the scripture that literally saved my salvation (pardon the pun):
Proverbs 24:16 -- For a just man falls seven times, and rises up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
The Duck's translation: Christians screw up. But what makes us Christians is the fact that with God we get right back up again while the rest of the world falls into sin.
I don't think perhaps that it was in the context you were looking for, but still... there's a LOT of truth in that scripture. Scriptures have a habit of being truthful. :p
