I did something tonight I've been telling myself and others for years I'd never do. I'll never forgive myself. Never.

We all make mistakes. We're not perfect. God will always forgive you if you repent.

echoing Hiryu here.
I think having Christ die for us even for the piddliest things we've done is still bad enough. If God would DIE for my stealing a piece of candy at age 5, I can't think of anything you could do that He wouldn't die for and forgive you for it if you repent.

God is still willing and ready to forgive and restore you, even if you believe you've committed the worst sin possible. That's how much He loves you.

Past, present, future sins - all paid for on the cross. Repent, get back up on your feet and spend time with God and trusted Christian friends. Praying for you, mate.

What you do does not determine who you are. You can (and should) take some solace in that. =)

Quoted for truth. Who you are is not defined by what you do or by who others say you are --but who God says you are in His word.

Things like that happen Rig. We all at some point do something that we told ourselves we would never do and hate ourselves for sometime. That's what makes us human and that is the reality of life. However, God will forgive you no matter the circumstance; it would be a much bleaker world if that weren't the case. If we continue to dwell in guilt and not do anything after it, then we make no progress in our lives. Let God forgive you so you can try to forgive yourself.
I will be praying.
