Could you guys please pray for me and my family. We have a tornado warning and I'm really scared. Sorry if this seems well, you know, stupid.

Thanks. Sorry you had to go through this to. We don't usually have tornados here and birds are still flying around outside like nothing is wrong, but I'm still really freaked out what with all these tornados happening and killing people. If it happens here I don't know what I'll do. I have 8 cats, a dog and a bird plus me and my mom. There isn't enough room for us all in the closet.

I hate to say it, but you grab who you can in under a minute, because you wouldn't have time to round them up before it hit, probably. My aunt has a similar issue (6 cats), and when a tornado hit her town there was 10 seconds between when the siren went off and when the tornado hit. The other side of the street was devastated.

The warning is only until 8:30 and we are kind of just sitting in the living room and starring outside now. Hoping this will all be over soon without a problem. This is probably stupid, should we be in the closet already? Lol.
Edit: It's 8:41 and the wather service said the warning would expire at 8:30 so I guess I'm safe for now! It's so weird. The state/county I live in hasn't had a tornado since like 1994 and no one has ever died. I was still flipping out though because well, you never know.

Well, if it happened once... But yes, when a warning comes on then usually it means you should be in the safe area, since there might not be time for a signal before it strikes. Rule of thumb- if there are sirens, get in the area. Again, there were only 10 seconds between then the sirens went off and the tornado touched down across the street from my aunt's.

I'll be praying. We had a tornado warning not too long ago (and it came, but not in our area. It actually ripped off the roof of a mall, but that was the only damage done or casualties).

Figures. Me and my mom just kind of kept looking outside to see if the wind picked up. Guess you can tell we're not used to tornados here. So wait, was your aunt's home harmed at all?

Thanks! Glad to know that no one was hurt. I'm going to watch the news tonight to see if the tornado hit any other areas in my state. Hoping everyone is alright. I really should have asked you all to pray for everyone in the area. I wasn't thinking when I first made this thread.

Ooh, we've had a few tornado warnings here... Even though it's the beach. Glad no one's been hurt, but I'm still praying.

Thanks! I'm watching the news and it seems a few more tornadoes could be possible. I find this really upsetting as I'm going to worry all week now because I am extremely paranoid. I mean, what if this happens while I'm asleep or don't have the TV on? *Shudders.*

Yes, my aunt's house was fine. Some roof damage, her yard was messed up... But across the street? They only had the same amount of warning time, and that side was utterly destroyed. The people were fine, but it was ugly.

Jeez, that does sound terrible. The worst my state got last night was the roof ripped off a barn in another county. No one was injuried though, thank God.
