My cousin is dying...

My 22 year old cousin has had 2 strokes in the past month, and the doctors are only giving him 2 or 3 more days at best. Please keep him and my family in your prayers!
His sister asked him last week, when everything was going much better and he could actually respond to questions, if he'd accepted the Lord (he was raised in a Christian home, but was really rebellious) and he gave her a thumbs up - he couldn't talk yet, he hadn't progressed that far, but this morning he had another stroke and he's in a coma again.
Please pray for us all! His parents and sister, especially. His sister is at a conference for Intervarsity and doesn't know her brother is dying. She's been REALLY beaten up by demonic attacks as it is...I'm actually more scared for her than my aunt and uncle.

Thanks so much for all the prayers and support everyone! I spent the last 5 hours at the hospital today - Jon is stable, undergoing lots of tests which we won't know the results of for the next few days anyway. My aunt, uncle, cousin Anna and a friend of theirs are all staying over at the hospital during this time, so please pray for them - not very easy to sleep in the waiting rooms...my cousin Anna seemed much more chipper today than she has been. I don't know if her parents have really opened up with her about the severity of Jon's condition right now or not.
Again, thank you so much for everything! I'll keep you updated whenever I get more news!

I'll continue to pray and updates would be very appreciated ^^
If you have a chance, you should ask your aunt and uncle if they have told your cousin the situation ^^ Is she someone who's really young? Do they think she won't understand o.o?

No, she's 21, it's just that she's not been taking the whole situation well as it is...doesn't want to go to school - she's a college student - doesn't want to leave the hospital when visiting hours are over, even though he doesn't know she's there, and she can't even go in his room right now for more than a few minutes at a time. Plus, I gather she's not eating, and probably not sleeping well, either. I think they are afraid she won't be able to cope with it. And if a miracle DOES happen, and he gets better, they'd rather she never knew it was this bad to begin with, I guess. I haven't been able to talk to them when she's not around, so I still don't know how much she knows.
Thanks again everyone for all the support!

Sorry for double posting, but I thought I'd update. Jon is still alive - which is a plus, since the doctors were only giving him a few more days several weeks ago! His skull (which had been taken apart initially to give his brain room to swell and heal) is now back together, and he survived that surgery, which is another praise! He's still in a coma, so we don't know how cognizant he will be. The big concern we all have now, and which we are getting no answers on, is the fact that this all started because Jon had some blood build up in an artery, a bit of the clot broke away, and that is what caused both strokes. There's still a build up in the artery, which means another could happen at any time, but they don't seem to be cleaning out that artery. Why? They won't tell us. We assume it's because it's impossible, or too dangerous, but we have no idea. So, although everything seems to be going well now, it still feels like at any minute things could all go very wrong again. It's hard to really be optimistic, you know? However, he's doing much better than anyone ever gave us reason to hope he would, so I SO appreciate the prayers! Thanks, everyone, and please keep it up!

Thanks again, everyone! Jon is still alive!! And he's being slowly weaned off the meds that kept him in a coma. He is nodding and giving us thumbs up to our questions. Still praying for a complete recovery for him. Thanks so much!!

Life is so hard sometimes. I will remember you and your family in prayer, that Christ would walk with you all and provide abundant emotional strength, and that you will trust in the perfect goodness of God.
