Double Whammy

I don't normally do these kind of requests, because it makes me feel selfish and attention-seeking, but, I need prayers for 2 things:

Firstly, for my mom. I can't go into the details, but it's something she's been having problems with for YEARS now, and it just doesn't want to seem to go away. If something doesn't happen this year then steps will have to be taken.

Secondly, for me. These last couple of weeks I have been feeling very isolated. My one friend has (apparently) been hospitalized due to a nervous breakdown (her phone's off so I can't reach her). Another friend has met someone and gotten engaged so I don't hear from her anymore. 2 of my other friends (who both work at the same firm) are both apparently so busy at work that they don't have time for non-work related stuff and don't get back to me anymore. Another friend has moved away to another town without any warning. I haven't been out in weeks and it's really starting to get me down. I never seem to be able to keep any friends for long periods of time. I'm starting to feel cursed in that area of my life, like I'm not supposed to have any friends or something.

Anyway, please pray if you can.

Thanks

R

I can really relate to you in the friend's department :/ Lately it seems like either I'm falling out with them or growing apart from them...

I'll be keeping you in my prayers~ (:

Mr. Rigard,

I am truly sad to hear that you are going through this tough time. I hope whatever is wrong with your mother is healable and that God places his hands on her to bring this about.
Secondly, I hope the situation with your friends can pan out. "Friends will come and go, and with a few you should hold on to." Hold on to your faith and surely God will show you the path to communicate with your friends. You are a wonderful person, Mr. Rigard, and I am sure they miss your company aswell.

I'll be praying.

Thank you Sorano, I appreciate it. You're a pretty cool person yourself :-) God bless you.

Hey Mr. Rigard. I just wanted to check up on you and ask if anything had improved. I was skimmin my Bible and I thought of you and found these verses.

Psalm 57:1- "Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by."

John 14:27- " I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift that the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."

dont feel alone GOD is with you and you have my support too
this world is hard and its impossible for a christian to feel at home in such a world
but keep your head up stay strong have an positive attitude even when your down because your mom just my need to see some one happy to make her no all is not lost
but if you go around mopping you'll be falling into the devil's trap as for getting outside
arrange an activity with your mom or just talk to her while going for a walk

Hi Sorano :-)

Sorry about the long silence. Things have gotten a little better for me thanks. My one friend returned and we're hanging out again. Unfortunately my mom's situation remains unchanged.

Thank you very much for the verses and for thinking of me. Appreciate it. I hope it's going well with you.

Peace and God bless

R
