A little dazed and confused

Things have just been happening too fast lately, but today takes the cake.

I got home to discover that my house had been burglarized. They took our two HDTVs (a 41" and a 19"), all my kids' game consoles (Wii, PS2, Gamecube), a big stack of games, my wife's laptop, our desktop's monitor, two digitial cameras and some bling out of my 18-year-old nephew's room.

This is heaped on top of learning the repair bill for my son's upright bass earlier todayh (recently damaged in an accident at orchestra rehearsal). It's going to cost us a little over four thousand to fix.

I'm feeling like my finances have a bulls-eye painted on them right now. Arggh.

Wow...I pray that things will turn out well, and that God will help you with what you're going through...Our church was recently broken into, and they stole the projector...the person was caught, but my dad still had to buy a new window for his office and a new projector...

I hope things get better soon!

Sorry to hear that Eric, I've heard quite a few break in stories before and the feeling you get from being at home supposedly changes to one of feeling unsafe. I sincerely hope that doesn't happen to you and your family and if it did/does you have comfort in the Lord. God Bless and hope everything works out.

Oh! So sorry man. I'm definitely going to be praying about the whole situation.
Hope they catch the thief or thieves. :shady:
Rest assured that revenge is the Lords' and that he'll provide for everything.

Even if this isn't in the prayer section, I'll still pray ^__^

There seems to be a series of robberies going on everywhere 8( It doesn't help when even the policemen are laid off 8(

$4000 is quite the chunk of change o_o

I moved this to the Prayer section. I hope everything is recovered/replaceable and that nothing important is lost forever.

Thanks everyone for your wishes and prayers. My kids had homework assignments, so we just got home from buying a new monitor. Everything else we can wait and see. One bright spot is, I had my wife's laptop's 'Service Tag' number, so if they bring it to a local pawnshop, it can be identified with certainty. If we don't get it back, that will be the biggest loss, since we had gone at least half a year since the last time she backed up her photos.

Well, we shall see. Thanks everyone again.

Ah man, that's terrible. I would hate to have my house robbed, which could happen(Who knows? It isn't good to be prideful about these things. Im not talking to you, Eric, but to me.). Just pray to God and live for Him while trying to get your belongings back. I don't know if God was try to teach you or your family any spiritual lessons through this; however, nothing catches God off guard. God has a perfect plan for everything. I mean I know you don't want me to say that "Hey man, God planned you're getting robbed", but He is the creator of this world of which He can do anything He likes to complete His will. Just remember it's all in His plan.

Also, Job is a good Biblical example of what you're(In a way) going through.

Just pray to God, and He'll take care of you.

What ADXC said is so true. I've started to become less accustomed to believing in coincidences and more used to believing that everything happens for a reason, and that God can use even the most dire situations and make good of them. I'll pray that God will show you what needs to be shown, or whatever needs to come of this. And as ADXC said, it's all part of His plan.

But still, it would really suck to be stolen from XP. We have a PS3, Wii, Gamecube, and a few other, older game consoles, plus two computers, a laptop, and a few TVs...I'm glad we live in a small town, where there aren't things like this that happen...usually.

May the Lord bless you and your family!

Wow Eric. That's terrible. I'm glad you were able to get a new monitor.

I think these tough economic times are pushing people to extremes they wouldn't go to otherwise, hence the increase in robberies.

I hope things work out for you.
