Mourning...

Postby kittybell » Sat May 23, 2009 4:37 am

Hey everyone. I have a request. About 2 weeks ago, I found out that a very dear friend of mine was murdered....in April. So if you all could keep his family, friends, co-workers and anyone else that is still dealing with this in your prayers, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks. His name was Antwane.

Aww...I'm truly very sorry. I've never had to go through the death of a loved one before :( I have been very lucky this way. I pray for you, and his family and friends as well. Please keep the Lord close to your heart. It hurts me so much to hear stories like this, even when I'm not directly involved...but I know the Lord is the best comforter, and His arms are always open.

This is the first time that I've ever lost someone this close before. Ever. So I'm not sure how to deal. I'm being told to pray..but I'm not sure what to say. All I know is that it really hurts. And I'm just trying my best to take it one day at a time.

:( Trust that Abba will give you peace. Seek Him through the Holy Word. You may very well find some good verses there to help you with what you're going through.

It's hard to cope with the death of someone you're close to, and it's hard to find the right words to say, too. I think it's great that you are trusting God to help you through this. That is, after all, what he's taught us to do in everything. I would also pray for the murder. Maybe not only that they come to justice, but also that they would find and seek Christ's forgiveness. Pray that they seek God's will and purpose for their life and that they'll be able to walk away from this crime, a sadder and wiser individual. My prayers and condolences to both you and everyone touched by this individual and your friend. May God bless you and keep you.

I visited my friend's sister on Saturday, and she told me that she had some news for me. She found out who killed him.

He committed suicide. Stacey(the sister) told me when we first met on Mother's Day, that he had a registered gun. So he went to NJ, and was probably somewhere above the water, shot himself and possibly fell over...or maybe shot himself *by* the water and somehow....I don't know. They found a note in his backpack addressed to his family. Saying that he hated himself, he hated the way the world was so filled with evil, stuff about the "white man"....and that he just didn't want to be a part of it anymore.

*sigh*
