Some people like looking at situations worse then there own, others don't. As an athlete (sports throughout highschool and childhood) you really learn no pain no gain. When we ask God to take hold of our life sometimes we expect it to get easier... lols. Ever heard the phrase purified by fire? I believe the cry of God's heart is that we depend on him, he sacrificed his son for OUR sin. I surrender Lord. More of you, less of me. When times get hard just take some time to think what God wants you to learn. My favorite verse as an athlete before I became a Christian and really gained a plethora of choices was James 1:2-8 "Trials and Temptations Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."

Wind I'm guessing you already know all of this, if anything I truly love typing out responses as a reminder to myself as well as to others. I believe it was Paul who stated in his letters why he repeated verses and lessons. I'm really glad you posted this too because the past few months I started to hate my life too, going over some of the simplest things and hearing others stories were real encouragements.

Wind (and others) feel free to send me a PM if you ever want to talk about one of my responses privately - even asking me to edit them etc. If you live in the United States I'd be more than happen to give out my number for texting if your ever in a rut and just need someone to vent to. Your one of a kind Wind and I'm seriously glad I've run into you on the forum.

With (brotherly) love and respect,
Ryan

P.S. If you read the first sentence and want an example of someone who "appears" to have lost everything go here http://brookerocks.com/ Read the NEWS. Record deal gone, fiancee gone, manager gone... She has beautiful music and its an encouragement to me so I hope it will be to you as well.
