Need my money back, site won't cancel

Normally when you order from a site, you don't have to worry about cancelling. Especially on pre-orders, they weren't going to ship anyways, so it's fine! But no...not in THIS case.

I was buying Higurashi OVA 2 and want the limited edition, but unfortunately there's two limited edition. One that comes with a body pillow and some "nice" images of Shion and Mion practically naked and another with a CD and them actually normal. I want normal. Guess what happened?

Now the stupid site won't let me cancel because of some insane rules of theirs (in fact there is no explanation as to why they won't let me, they just won't let me), and just gah. 124 dollars. Wonderful. And considering how every part of the product has these dumb images on it, trust me. I'll throw it away...and that sucks, but...come ON.

I sent them a message, begging to stop it, but I don't think they will. I really don't want this...this really sucks. *sigh*

Any prayer they somehow take pity on me would be nice. I really, really, REALLY don't want to waste my money on something I don't want...

Stupid question, but are you able to send it back? Yes, stopping the order for you would be easier, but since they won't... D8<

Did they give you a choice to pick from? What are the site rules if I may ask?

Hmmm, well, you just want the disk right (does even the art on the disc have nudiness on it)? You could throw the boxset thingy away.. Orrrrrrrrz, sell it.. <___>;

I find it odd that you can't cancel at all. Which store is this?
Are you absolutely certain that shooting them an email to cancel the order won't work? That's how it works at a store like rightstuf, but I've never imported anything...

Otherwise, if worse comes to worse, I suppose you could try selling it online or something. Might as well get some money back for it, since you got stuck in a crappy situation.

What's their return policy? If they accept returns of unopened merchandise, send it right back to them and demand a refund.

Well dang. That's disappointing. Isn't there anything you could do?

First off, what site is this?

Man that's harsh. Is the one you accidentally bought more expensive than the other one?

You could sell them.

I'm *sure* you could find a buyer.

Throwing it aawy is just a waist.. $124 (I think that's what you said) is nothing to mess around with @__@

If you did in fact pick the "Normal" edition. Then, you should be able to send it back. If they had run out of the "Normal" edition, then they should've notify you of it and asked if you wanted to continue the purchase or cancle it. Yeah, something's definitely up O.O

I was just thinking, yeah. Sell it on Ebay. Maybe you won't see all the proceeds back, but you'll get at least a partial return.

Which store is it: Yesasia.

They finally talked to me and said the cancellation isn't allowed because it's a Japanese DVD (though I fail to see why that matters on a pre-order...or at all really), but...ugh. Just really sucks. Why they had to make so many dang versions of a dvd...I mean, I get it's an OVA, but for heaven's sake. This probably wouldn't be such an issue if I COULD just modify it in some way, but sadly that just ain't gonna happen.

Come on guys, you shouldn't sell something that's not good. I mean, if you didn't want to buy something because it's sinful, selling it to someone else for money is kind of immoral. Just throw the unwanted junk away, the world is better without it.

What's "sinful" or "not", especially when assessing over the internet, is highly subjective.

So let's not even go further with this train of thought that you have, please.

Where you given a choice with edition you want? Since they had so many versions right?

Try sending it back if they won't let you cancel it. I'm sure they'd at least let you do that, right? I mean, most sites do if you're not satisfied.. I would hope :-?

What about canceling the payment or something through the credit card company? I think you can have unwanted things canceled... Maybe going to the credit card folks, (or whatever you're using) might help.

Did you ever get it canceled? I'm curious in knowing how this turned out. I was thinking about buying some stuff from yesasia, but now I know not to. Playasia it is.

Bit off topic, but some of the "official" non-canon artwork for Higurashi is really annoying... Especially stuff with Mion and Shion... I mean... really? I won't go into more detail than that...
