My dad smokes a lot...

Recently he tried to quit but couldn't

I really want him to quit since he's destroying him own, me, my mom , and my little sister's health.

It doesn't help that there are a lot of people at church that smokes >.<

My Dad's a non-christian but he takes me and my little sister to church on Fridays...

Sigh... yesterday he got a lot of cirgaretes from a friend...

This morning I found it and hid it...

I don't know if that's good or bad but I really want my dad to come talk to me about it

I want to persuade him to stop

Please pray for me and wish me luck

Well I don't think you should hide it...He may get mad..I think you should just keep prayin for him:thumb:

My mom smokes too so does my sis even when i have hereditary lung cancer.

Its something he is goign to have to WANT hun...its not really anything you can force him to do.

I, too, have friends and relatives that smoke or used to. I've even lost a grandfather partially due to smoking. I have to agree with Shao and Kelly-sama, you have to just keep praying for him about it. Don't force him to stop. As the old saying goes, you attract more bees with honey than with vinegar. I will keep praying for you and your family, sis. Keep praying for your church as well.

I think I will convince my dad to quit gradually

Probably make him go to doctors to get medication lol ^.^

I have talked to my dad

and we have come to an agreement

1. He'll go to the doctors soon to get the medicine to help him stop smoking

2. He'll also go through the gradual process where he smokes less every week

The cigarettes are still hidden and my dad has "attempted" to find them

I have to give him one pack every week so that he'll slowly get used to being with out them

I have to be extra careful when doing the "transaction" lol....

Can't let him find my secret spot that only me and god knows

but thanks everyone!

Update

Sigh my dad is going back from 4 days without it to 3 days

He claims is because he did a lot of work this weekend on the house so yeah...

Sigh

I also told him that

He gets nothing till Saturday...

Today's "Transaction" had a close call

At Least it felt like it since I thought that he was coming near the hidden spot

but of course he couldn't find it...
