Successes and Attacks

God is great. And this is an actual praise report.

As of tomorrow, 12PM PST, I will have completed my first month as a man who is porn free. I have been relying on Him to get me through this, and it's been tough, but it's also been worth it. So, this is a major praise report. God is cleaning out my closet, and doing well.

Secondly, I have felt a lot free-er since giving up partisan politics. I used to be kind of a firebrand, but I am all but free of it now. God's been cleaning out my closet, yet again.

But, as always, with a praise report, there is always a prayer request. And tonight, I have 2:

1) I was in a major league funk the last couple of days. And in being physically sick, I was seriously under assault. Panic, loss of perspective, and other stuff. All because of the good things that have been happening lately. So, I just ask for you all to pray that whatever spiritual armor.

2) There is a young lady who contacted me a couple of weeks ago, through a dating site that I was once registered with. We are just chatting, currently. She is also a fellow believer. I do not know much about her situation, but I know she's been dealing with some illness lately, and some questions about careers. So I just ask that you put this young lady (who's name is being withheld for the time being) in prayer tonight that God will give her all the necessary help.

Thank you, everyone.

Congratulations and you have my prayers.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Actually, as the days have gone by, it's gotten easier. The big thing is to just let God take care of the situation. Which I've done.

The hardest days for me have been the first 3, the 14th, and the 29th day. Where I'm at now, I just have to develop new habits that'll take hold. I have 12 days to develop new habits, and it's already starting.

Keep praying, though. And moreso for the young lady I speak of. She's important.
