CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

So I was at school and talked to a fellow Christian and I told him about how I haven't lived as faithfully as I used to since I have lost the habit of daily committed prayer and personal time of the word. He said that perhaps I have been putting other things before God and most likely I have. So as fellow anime fans, I want to ask you guys this. Do you think that maybe I have to give up anime completely? Because I know we are supposed to put God above all and I fear what that really means. Please pray for me and let me know what you think. I appreciate your help.

You have my prayers, but may I ask you if you really putting Anime above God?

That may be a stupid question to ask, but are you? Remember, no one can say you are except you ^ ^ What do you truely feel?

I would say, no, you do not have to give up anime ^ ^ Think of anime as a.. gift if you will ^__^ Who gave you that gift to enjoy along with other gifts in everyday life?

(That probalbly didn't make any sense ^__^;)

If you feel you are putting anime before God, then give it up. If you feel that other things are going before God, then give it up!

It is better to go into heaven without a hand, then to have a hand that steals (rephrased from the Bible). Point is, its better to follow God then watch anime but only you can decide if anime is really the issue. Maybe its a particular show/game your watching etc.

I think that Kunoichi pretty much hit the nail on the head. If you feel that you are putting "anything" before God, then yes it is a good idea to evaluate yourself and act accordingly. Also ask yourself, is anime the real issue or is it a bunch of other things?

I'm sorry. I feel like I may have worded it incorrectly. I guess I was trying to ask if it's okay to still be anime fan as long as I put God on top of everything. I hope I didn't give anyone the vibe that I'm some hikikomori otaku. Because that's not what I am. I mean if you guys can still be anime fans and still be Christian, so can I right? I just wanted to know how you guys felt about it. Thanks guys.
