Struggling

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers please. I've had a lot on my plate lately--college (a certain class I'm doing horribly in, worried about financial stuff), my dad being laid off, questioning my faith and God's existence. It feels like an uphill battle with arrows coming at every angle. I'm losing confidence in everything right now, and I can't pick up a pen and write leisurely lately.
I just seem to be getting more negative and beaten down as the days pass. Talk about a full scale attack.

Hey, Elfy, hang in there. I'm dealing with a whole lot of the same stuff right now to be honest. But stay tough.
Something that helped me keep my faith grounded through this semester was the Lutheran student fellowship I joined - basically a small Bible study group. It took me awhile to find a church that really felt right for me (I'm not actually Lutheran XD), but sometimes you gotta dig around. Are there any Christian groups around your campus? It might be worth a try checking them out, because college is largely a humanist wasteland no matter how pretty it looks on the outside.
Praying for ya. PM me any time ya wanna talk.

Lifting you up, my sister. And I agree with USSRGirl about getting involved with a Christian group on campus if possible. I was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ, and it was very influential in my spiritual growth.

James 1:2-5 2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
I'll be praying for you! But definately know that God will never leave your or forsake you and though things are hard right now. Everything will be okay! After all, Jesus went through something immensely harder for us... just have faith! God loves you!

The first part of the fall semester is always the most difficult time in college, even for upper classmen. Keep fighting and don't give up, after Thanksgiving break it will get better. Also, repeating what Temulin said, getting involved with a Christian group on or off campus should help a lot. Depending on where you go to school, it may take some digging around to find a really good one, but that shouldn't stop you from looking...they're out there.
