CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Hey guys. I need you to pray for my grandma. It's been a year since Grandpa died and she's really depressed right now. Please pray for her to have peace. Grandpa IS in fact in heaven, but grandma is still a baby as far as Christianity goes. So she still doesn't know that much. Please please pray!

(Any advice is welcome too.)

I'm praying. I don't know what else to say....other than that. I've lost all my grandparents and an uncle as well. I've seen many people depressed and mourning the loss of loved ones...and yet I don't have any advice to give. Just give her someone to talk to so she's not lonely, go over for dinner or something a night a week or something like that. She lost her best friend, her husband, her life-long companion. It might take her some time to heal.

I'm definitely praying.

I, too, have a widowed gandmother that went through the same thing only a couple of years ago. All I can say is to stay in contact, try and be a shoulder for her to lean on. Take the time to listen and let her talk about it. Try to focus on the good times she had with you grandfather. I've found it also helps to visit the grave at least once a year as a family. My grandma does that once a year, sometimes sending a letter up to Heaven in a balloon. It kinda helps in a strange, yet joyous sort of way. May God give your family peace and bring joy and understanding to your grandmother. My prayers are with you, brother.
