My dog is sick.

Well my day definitely did not start off well...

To start with, over the past few days, my dog has been having "digestive" issues and now they have escalated.

[A warning for the faint of heart that the following descriptions may be uncomfortable.]

Well to be specific, my dog has had diarrhea this past part of the week, and then this morning, I was out on a walk with her, when I found blood in her stool...

As you read this, she is now at the local vet hospital.

She is 8 years old, so of course, she is not in the best physical condition, as would be the natural effects of age.

This is definitely making me and my family nervous (I know that dogs can be a pain sometimes, but darn it, I still love her).

I have been praying to God that this illness she has may not end up being terminal.

I hope that you may pray with me as well.

Thank you. :)

Actually a little update:

Today, our dog underwent surgery.
Before that, the initial diagnosis was possible intestinal blockage.
Now that was a little misinterpretation, but what it is confirmed is that there is this round, foreign "mass" by her stomach.

They did not extract anything yet, but they have kept her hydrated, and she is feeling okay so far.
What's nice news is that the doctors at the vet have made up for their unfortunate setbacks with the handling of tests, by charging under half of the initial price for surgery.

As for the dog, she is now feeling okay but her diarrhea still persists and is now currently staying overnight at a vet emergency clinic.

She seems okay now, but of course its not over yet.
So please do continue your prayers.

aw, I'm glad that she is feeling better! This summer my sort off adopted dog got really sick, people even started saying that he was lucky if it made it through the night. We had put him in some air conditioning and somehow he expulsed the bad thing while we were at church...not a pretty sight. That is when everyone said he was going to die probably in the next few hours. I told them they were crazy and although of the strong stench I just sat by him (dog was 2 years old) then I cleaned up the mess and slept with him in the room. Over the next 2 days or so he was feeling better. Never doubt the power of God! He definetly healed that dog.
Still praying!

You're absolutely right. :) That "round mass" doesn't appear to be threatening, and she now she's back to normal after a couple weeks of meds. Thank you all for your prayers! :)
