It's me again...

For the past 4 months, I have had a lot of pain and inflammation in my left big toe from an ingrown toenail. Awful. Been following a strict treatment regiment from my doctor, but no change. Since it's still not getting any better, the nail has to go --on Tuesday morning. Shots in the toe and everything. Yuck. But at least it'll finally be able to heal.

All this because I cut my toenail the wrong way...

Please pray for me. It really hurts and it's been a bit harder to get around the last few days. I know it probably sounds stupid to pray for a toe, but it's affecting the way I walk --which isn't good --because this is the same foot I had surgery on in January --and I need to be able to walk correctly.

Also, I have a presentation in my ASL (sign language) class on Monday --please pray that I will not procrastinate and that I would take the time to properly prepare. I'm kind of nervous about being able to keep it within 4-6 minutes.

I'm feeling better. Still a bit sad, but hopeful --I know God has a plan and I'm okay with not knowing it. I have 10 months to pray and see where God is leading me after graduation --so, plenty of time. :)

Guh, what a bothersome condition. I don't think it's wrong to pray for something that gets in your way. Praying for you.

I had the same exact problem!
Except it was my right big toe. But yup, all because I cut it wrong. My mom always said not to round the corners off, but because I thought an ingrown toenail was when the END of the nail went under the skin, I figured, "Well, I don't see anything happening, so I'm okay!"

But yup, numbing your whole toe and cutting the sides right off... that was a bad experience for me because we went to the ER instead of a foot specialist. Then when we went to the foot specialist, he said that generally in the ER since they're not as well-trained, it is much more uncomfortable. It was too late for me though. -_-

But okay, I'll try to remember to pray.
And just so you know, after I got the sides cut off, as my nail grew back in, somehow it stopped growing and another one grew under it, and the old one fell off! O.O It didn't hurt, but just so you know, it can happen. XD

Ugh. That happened to my friend once. It's also kinda happened to one of my fingernails a couple times. Nothing serious, but still....
I'll be praying!

Heavenly Father,

Please cure Sheenar of her toenail. We know we can bring all things to you..even if they may seem silly. Lord we praise you and just ask you be with Sheenar as she goes through her week this week.

In your precious son's name,

Amen

Thank you everyone for your prayers.

My toe still really, really hurts. Pray that I'll be able to sleep well and focus on my studies this weekend (need lots of preparation for that presentation --I have to practice my signing like crazy --ASL sentence structure is still so confusing for me.) I also have tons of hardcore cleaning to do --my cousin is staying with me next weekend --and my dorm needs to be scrubbed, vacuumed, swept, and all my papers/books/food items/socks all need to be put in their proper location. Pray that I'll have the energy to do all this. Of course I won't try to do it all at once, but in pieces --but it's still a big task. I just look around my room and feel overwhelmed...and wonder why the heck I let it get this far. XD

Also, if you can, please pray for Pebbles. It's nothing major, but she burned one of her paws on the pavement today. :( I feel really bad --I waited to put her shoes on until we had her loaded in the vehicle (when I went to lunch) --I really should have put them on before I even left work. She seems fine now, but earlier she was walking different and acting like it hurt. I hope she heals quickly --she's my best friend and I hate to see her hurting --especially because of my negligence. :(

Thank you.

Update: Pebbles healed up just fine --she's showing no signs of pain in that paw --she is her normal self. :)

I had the procedure done on my toe this morning (8/5). I'm doing ok --it hurt a lot this afternoon, but it isn't really hurting now. All I have to do is keep a band-aid and triple antibiotic ointment on it --so easy. I'm feeling much better now.

My dorm flooded today (from the window AC units), but everything's ok --the carpet is wet, but I won't be fined for it --and it was only wet right by where the AC units are --I was able to salvage what was important and finally throw away what was not.
But please pray that maintenance will be able to fix it fully this time --this is the 2nd time my dorm has flooded/leaked like this this summer.

Thank you for your prayers. Let me know how I can pray for you guys too. :)
