CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

If anyone is in Oregon, then you may have heard the name Jason Atkinson. He's a believer, a State Senator, and ran for governor in 2006. He is also one of my closer friends in the political realm.

Last night, he was working on a friend's bike. His friend had a .38 revolver in his bike pack (which, from what I understand, Jason did not know about), and when Jason dropped the pack, it went off. It went into his knee.

This could be potentially damaging because Jason is an avid biker, nearly pro-level. And it could mean that Jason is laid up for a while. So, I ask you all to keep my friend Jason in prayer as he goes through surgery and recovery, and pray that he'll keep God in mind all the way through.

Wow, that really sucks, I'll be praying super hard for him! Give him my best!

Got an update for everyone:

My good friend Jason is still in ICU and he's had one surgery so far. He's going to need to get 2 more surgeries before he's released. From what I got told by one of my friends:

Jason was shot just above the kneecap, the bullet traveled up his leg, apparently punctured the artery in his left leg, and stopped in his groinal region (technical medical term there - "groinal").

Jason is in good spirits, despite being in a tremendous amount of pain.

So, just pray that they can get the swelling in his leg down so they can finish the surgeries and get him as good as new. He may be out for 8-12 weeks.
